I‘ve been watching the U.S. Figure Skating Championships this weekend & remembered Rudy Galindo‘s biography. Rudy was the surprise U.S. Men‘s Champion in 1996. His long program was one of the best in U.S. skating history in my opinion. #FigureSkating
Way too spicy for my tastes, but it was a fun romance. Both main characters have depth, even within their friendships. It‘s only a little about ice skating and hockey, but just enough to be fun. Book # 7 in 2025
I‘ve read many Litsy reviews of this book, but I was still expecting more from the hockey player must learn to figure skate plot along with the spicy scenes. It was a fun read, and I loved the team friend group dynamic that frequently had me laughing.
It bothers me somewhat that I borrowed this from a HS girl, but I also appreciate there are some great messages about communication & consent compared to the romance novels I first read as a teen.

I don't know if I could read it now, but I sure did enjoy this 25+ years ago. (!) Best “chase me across the ice while I strip of my clothes“ scene ever. Possibly the only one, come to think of it. ;-)
My January #BookSpin list. Excited to begin another year of reading fun! Thanks for hosting, @TheAromaofBooks !
