So when this series started I LOVED it. Queen Betsy is a Ditzy Vampire Queen but is so snarky she is a #Dariawannabe. The thing with this series is when they went hardcover and the cover graphics changed (time travel book) is when the story went down hill. I stuck with the series because I HAD to know about the book of the dead. I read a few more but I never finished the series. Maybe one day. #octpbitochallenge

Guilty Pleasures: An Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter Novel | Laurell K. Hamilton

#octphotochallenge Day 19 I don't know why I found this one so hard. I'm sure I'm going to post this and think of several that fit. My pick is early Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter. I'm only up to book 13 but I think she was snarkier in the beginning of the series. #dariawannabe

hlgreenfield I only read the first two in the series and loved them, but then someone told me that halfway through the series they just weren't as good anymore and I decided to stop reading cos I didn't want my love of the series to be tarnished! 8y

Ruri_kaichou Same! The beginning of the series was so fun! Then it got boring for me. So I series. Now I can just think of the fun I had reading the first half 8y

In the Woods | Tana French

#dariawannabe for #day19 of #octphotochallenge is going to the kick ass but at times vulnerable Cassie Maddox. I LOVE a female detective that is a hard ass, can run with the guys and only will show you her vulnerable side at the right moment. Tana French created the perfect character for that book.
