My entire body thundered with need. I wanted him more than donuts and birds—more than I‘d wanted Hartford. I wanted him to take me hard and fast, then slow and soft. I wanted to tell him the burden I carried, the horrible thing I‘d kept from him. He. Will. #Destroy. You. I snapped away from his hold and rubbed my arms, trying to make them warm at the sudden chill. #QuotsyJune19

(Day 25 - #Destroy)
“Why not #destroy yourself?”
“That‘s too easy.”
“Take back the ring. Be true. You need not fail.”
...He hesitated, wondering what this old man had to do with him. But he had to make some kind of response. He took the ring and replaced it on his left hand. Then he said, “Everybody fails. But I am going to survive—as long as I can.”
