I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it (some I‘ve had so long I don‘t even remember why!). Feel free to join in!

A trilogy finish that‘s been on my tbr & physical shelves for way too long. Because it‘s been years😬since I read the preceding instalments so, this was basically read as a stand alone. I very much enjoyed it as much as the others. Strong characters with zing to go with a great storyline.
Sunday reading with snuggly Penny.
I‘m so impressed with Cait Nary‘s range, y‘all. She‘s great at high stress romances (SEASON‘S CHANGE), adorable romcoms (LUCKY BOUNCE), and stuff like this, which slides into that sweet spot where there‘s SOME stress for the characters but it‘s mostly about them, like, finding their way through a scenario they hoped they could avoid but are actually coping with really well. IT‘S SO GOOD. Bring on the back half.
This lost me when there tried to be some deeper meaning in this story. That felt unbelievable, I couldn't believe in all those big emotions after one sex weekend. Well they had known each other longer but it still wasn't believable.

Secret Society is a story about two best friends, Celess and Tina, who have been friends since childhood. Now grown, their lives are full of adventure. They frequent nightclubs, date only wealthy men, and live a life of luxury. However, they harbor a serious secret that could cost them every thing.
Tina and Celess have been best friends forever. Because they are at the top of their game, they are living life in the fast lane. Right now, Tina is dating Khalil, and Celess is dating, well, three men: James, the rising basketball player from Philly; O, the hustler from Delaware; and Tariq, the realtor from New Jersey. Stay tuned to find out what these boss girls into in the next chapter, January.
More poorly-lit reading adventures with Allie! SEASON‘S CHANGE took a few chapters to hook me, but it builds so well that I soon couldn‘t put it down. Be forewarned that it‘s a really stressful romance, though; lots of internalized homophobia prompted by intense external homophobia, plus some difficult family stuff for both leads. I was super worried about them at all times, even as I enjoyed watching them bond.
I fully expected this to be terrible and it wasn't. I wound up enjoying it. The relationship building is nicely paced and sweet. It's still weird that Sakura doesn't even consider seeing a doctor when he loses more than a month if memory. Because of incel internet culture of alpha vs beta males, it was occasionally hard to take this book's premise seriously even though the two are unrelated. #LGBTQ #Manga #OfficeRomance
