I read a few children‘s books for #foodandlit Brazil today. Jabuti The Tortoise is mythology - thank you for the link @Bookworm54 ! The Sock Thief is a modern picture book. And The Quest For Z is children‘s nonfiction. I really liked them all! But I was stuck by how effective the art in The Quest For Z is. (especially since I read it last, and for anything to stand up against the bright beautiful colors in Jabuti is impressive!)

Butterfinger I love the art in picture books. 4y

A colourful piece of folklore from the Amazon.
I found a YouTube video reading of this (which helped with the pronunciation of Jabuti!)

Beautiful story :)

This book is absolutely gorgeous. I love folklore. I want to see if I can find the entire collection of the tribal Jabuti lore of Brazil. #FoodandLit @Texreader @Catsandbooks

#NonficNov 5 - #Music 📚🎶
Well this one is easy! Here are just a few of my favorite #flute-related #nonfiction books. 🎶

Reggie What‘s your favorite solo to play? I love the craziness of Muzcynski but like the Ian Clarke stuff. And sometimes just sometimes I like Pan and the Birds. Lol 5y
lovelybookshelf @Reggie I love Muczynski, too! I have to admit, I'm a sucker for those French conservatory pieces. Give me Taffanel or Gaubert anytime! I also love Katherine Hoover. 5y

1. 4th grade. Our teacher was amazing. She even took us all camping!
2. Band. 🤓 #flute
3. Yep! Two.
4. Great Britain, because I‘m a huge Anglophile.
5. I almost forgot to post my own #friyayintro answers! I think most of you have already done it though, since it‘s only Friday here on the West Coast still. :)
