I managed to get to the library before they closed, and I‘ve maxed out my loans on #Libby. We‘ve evacuated to the in-laws, charged the battery packs, and bought extra batteries for my “reading” lantern.
Hope all the other #littens in Eastern North Carolina and the path of Florence stay safe!

Lcsmcat How far inland did you go? We‘re in Wake County and are staying put, but our daughter and her crew from Greenville are here for the duration. 6y

Leigh0906 @lcsmcat we went about 40ish miles inland from Wilmington to Clarkton. We‘re less worried about the wind/power loss than the flooding- our place in Wilmington isn‘t in the projected flood zone, but we didn‘t want to risk it! I don‘t blame your daughter for leaving Greenville- I remember Floyd, and it was awful! 6y

Lcsmcat @Leigh0906 She lived in Princeville for Matthew (and lost almost everything) so it wasn‘t hard to convince her to bring the dogs, kitten - and fiancé - and come ride it out with us. ? 6y
