A wonderful Sci-fi classic that stands the test of time.

Can‘t wait to get into this one! Thank you BookRiot Podcast for the preview!
A beautiful ode to books and love. Set in WWI in Oxford following the life of a bookbinding girl along with many wonderful characters. It has such a smooth rhythm that absorbs you in the best possible way. Such an amazing read!
Bittersweet doesn‘t even come close to describing this book. Bring tissues. Perfect summer read!
Very disappointing, given all the hyped up reviews. The story line is too hard to follow and the excessive reference to bodily functions is unnecessary and does not add to the story. For a lover of Isabelle Allende and magic realism, it was very sad to read something that sounded like a similar genre, but in the end was a huge disappointment.
Thank you so much, @kindergartenkat Love the variety of books and all the bits and pieces for a relaxing afternoon reading 😉! #ReadintheNewYearSwap
@kindergartenkat your package is on the way!! Can't wait to hear what you think!! #ReadintheNewYearSwap
What a sad thought.
Two down, two to go! Loving every word so far if not every character....
I have been through a whole roller-coaster of life events in the last few years which forced me to come off Litsy. But now I feel that things are stable enough for me to come back. I can't wait to catch up and re-integrate back into the Litsy community. I missed y'all!
So true yet so terrifying to admit
I finished the book wishing it didn't end. Amor Towles makes you feel like you are inside every moment of the book. I love the way he writes. Of course I read most of the book as I myself moved to Manhattan so I am biased and that is my very own G&T in the picture 😉but still the story is wonderful, about love, loss, relationships and full of really amazing characters all set at the end of Depression in New York. Such a good book! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Adding to my Bookstore Travel: Square Books in Oxford Mississippi
Enjoying my loot over a pizza slice 🍕 and a beer 🍻 Bookstore tourism has to be the best kind of travel 😊that and foodie travel 😄or even better combined 😉
This was an impulse buy and a bumpy ride. the description on the back does not really match the plot but as I forced myself to keep reading I did get attached to the characters. For my liking the book jumps around too much and the delivery of the plot through one character telling a story to the protagonist is a little stale but I'm glad I finished it. Unfortunately I still wish I had read something else from my endless TBR instead. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ok Littens! I have a few days in Seattle and I would love some fun suggestions of Bookstore/bookish places to visit! Thank you!
I'm so sad I Missed #summersantagoespostal ! 😢 will there be another secret santa before Christmas???
I have been away from Litsy for too long - life has thrown a few curveballs! Here is to me coming back in full swing! I am making a move to Manhattan in a few weeks and I'm incredibly excited that my apartment is walking distance to this bookstore! They admit they don't have anything to do with the original Shakespeare and Co but still :) I just have to work extra hard on that self control when I walk past... 😉😳😋🎉🤡📚
This is my current night stand bookstack. Could they be more different?!?! 😱
Oh wow. I laughed and cried all at the same time through the entire book. I love the characters especially Ove. I loved this book, I don't have the words to do it justice. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
May I have a shout out from some Beckett lovers out there for "Waiting for Postie"? ??"come on, let's go" they don't move.
So true! Well may be too harsh on the espresso machines 😂☕️☕️☕️
This is one of those books that made me sad because it had to end. I loved every word, every character, every little detail! The language is sharp and yet so vivid and the plot is really gripping. And as a Russian I also really appreciated the historical accuracy. I can not gush enough about it! One of my rare 5 stars. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
If I could post every other page of this book, I would. The language is spectacular.
I just might have to stay up until midnight to open this one! It came all the way from Wales! #cupudgoespostal
As a Russian reading this, this really hits a nerve. While may be harsh, it is very accurate in observation.
A slightly unorthodox take on #diverselovestories but this book definitely has quite a range of love and other types of relationships! #feistyfeb
Actually having started this book last night after the reading, I think I have a new literary crush - the Count. And of course the most trustworthy man in my life keeping me company in the park ❣️🐶#literarycrush #feistyfeb
At another reading at the Dallas Museum of Arts. Really looking forward to it!

Uh oh. I hope this does not prove true given current political ongoings.
One of my most treasured possessions - the Baroque Cycle trilogy. I love this edition! #deckleedge #feistyfeb
