💐Spring:

☀️Summer: The House Across the Lake by Riley Sager

🍁Fall: Cackle by Rachel Harrison

❄️Winter: What Happens at Christmas by Victoria Alexander

This was way harder than I thought it would be! It was so hard to narrow it down to just one per season! 😂

Seasonal Recs: MG/YA edition! #ihavequestions

Spring: Below the Root by Zilpha Keatley Snyder—a favorite from childhood, and the living-in-trees setting feels perfect for spring
Summer: The Penderwicks by Jeanne Birdsall—This series is a PERFECT summer MG read
Fall: The Night Gardener by Jonathan Auxier—creepy October vibes
Winter: Miracles on Maple Hill by Virginia Sorensen—I have such strong memories of the winter maple syrup scenes!

Absent in the Spring | Mary Westmacott

Seasonal Recs! #ihavequestions

Spring: Absent in the Spring by Mary Westmacott/Agatha Christie—It‘s in the title…😁
Summer: Mama Day by Gloria Naylor—major summer vibes: like a powerful, looming summer thunderstorm
Fall: Peace Like a River by Leif Enger—fall vibes, with a journey across the frozen Badlands
Winter: The Historian—I read this in winter in Germany so it‘s forever associated with snowy landscapes (and very effective blackout shutters)

RaeLovesToRead Thanks so much for the double play!!! 💕💕😁 2mo
Ruthiella @BarbaraJean Oh! Absent in the Spring is the best Agatha Christie writing as Mary Westmacott novel IMO. 👍 2mo
BarbaraJean @RaeLovesToRead Haha…you‘re welcome! @Ruthiella I thought so, too—although I was impressed with so many of the Westmacott novels! 2mo

@RaeLovesToRead has questions, y‘all! #IHaveQuestions

Spring - “The Eye of the World” by Robert Jordan. There is even a theme of rebirth throughout. @Branwen approves of this choice! 😁

Summer - “The Golem and The Jinni” by Helene Wecker. A perfect summer story of two strangers finding each other… except that an evil magician is hunting them!

Fall - “Clown in a Cornfield” by Adam Cesare.

Winter - “Winter Witch” by Elaine Cunningham.

RaeLovesToRead I think I have Clown in a Cornfield on my Kindle... 😅😅 2mo
DaveGreen7777 @RaeLovesToRead Just in time for Halloween! 🎃 2mo

#ihavequestions @RaeLovesToRead (thanks for the tag! 😘)

AUTUMN: DRACULA by Bram Stoker: a recurring fall read for me.

WINTER: A CHRISTMAS CAROL by Charles Dickens: a recurring winter read for me.

SPRING: PRIDE AND PREJUDICE by Jane Austen: I always think of Pemberley in the spring.

SUMMER: THE GREAT GATSBY by F. Scott Fitzgerald: nothing says summer to me like the climatic scene at the Plaza Hotel.

IndoorDame I‘m so psyched we‘re reading Dracula next month! It‘s been several years since my last read 🖤 2mo
RaeLovesToRead Yes to all of these!!!!! 2mo
dabbe @IndoorDame It is just the PERFECT autumn/spooky read, isn't it? 🖤 2mo
