I may have just listened to my 2019 favorite! This is a story that has so many moving elements. Have tissues on hand. Unlikely friendships, missed opportunities, mistakes, relationships, forgiveness, acceptance, humor, and love are all in this charming story. I definitely recommend the audiobook. The things I love most about Eloisa's books are the depth of the characterizations and the ingenuity of the storytelling. There is never a clear path to the all important HEA- Happily ever after. The situation seems unsolvable. The lovers seem bound for heartache. But it works out in a clever way as the pieces fit together unexpectedly. I can‘t write a better review than @BiblioNyan So check out her post for details, but I listened to the audiobook on my drives to and from work this weekend and it was the most unique and moving story. I can‘t believe a story that had no main character could have me in tears. I definitely recommend the audio version 🎧. I will look for a used copy for my #keeper shelf. ❤️
