Read this for my book club that me and another woman started at the library. This was her pick. It‘s suppose to be a mystery book club and this was lacking in mystery. It wasn‘t bad but wasn‘t amazing. I do think I‘d read the second one. I just hope the book club does well I want it to last so badly.

Definitely enjoyed this a lot more than the first one. Several years since the initial introduction of Themis to the world, our team faces a new challenge when the creatures of these robots come to earth with their own robot.

I picked this up from the library because the illustration design was interesting and I thought the time period during the fur trade would be a nice pallet cleanse from what I've been reading. During the time of early exploration of America, a battle breaks out when a Frenchman takes over the Fort of an Englishman. This was definitely what the description said it was but by the end of it, I just looked at it and thought "is that it?"

A good book that looks at: climate change, fertility issues, autism, grief and roles of technology. Clade takes the reader along as they follow the lives of a family over three generations into the future. Starting in the beginning of the 21st century, the possible future impacts of climate change are depicted in an very eerie and unsettling way.

I think with this book you read it more to reflect on yourself rather than actually reading it for the material. I listened to the audiobook version of this and found myself not always payinng attention to what was being said because I would listen to a section and then start thinking about how it related to me and my friend groups.

I started the first book in the trilogy Saturday and just finished up today. Really enjoyed all the nerding out over scientific history that I wanted to keep going. Ended up picking the other two up at the book and about to start the next one.

Another good volume but again the bonus manga is really what makes it for me. The other bits just aren‘t as memorable for me as I would like. My favorite part though was seeing the friendship between Iku and Shibazaki. I think they compliment each other well and will be great to follow along even more as the series go on. Another bit I liked was the Valentine‘s Day chocolate situation that had Iku worries about Dojo not getting any chocolate

Following the story of a number of characters, we see what happens to the world when a virus starts killing people within 24-48 hours and spread no matter what efforts are put in place. At the same time, magic is fully reintroduced into the world with elves, fairies, witches, wizards and more coming into their own. Now in a world where billions have died, we see what happens when good and evil for both sides reshapes what was once the world.

Took the train and walking to the hospital to get some my flu shot and some other stuff done for work. Made some great progress on this audiobook 🎧 Now time for this yummy burrito bowl for my partial shift I picked up today.
