This was such a delightful cozy mystery & really just matched my mood perfectly! (It's set in summer near Vancouver but the warm sunny weather with cool breezes are what we've got going on here currently & really set the tone)
Intriguing murder to solve, fun well-written characters to meet, & a lovely new small town to fall for! I appreciated that the MC & police chief are queer so I'm looking forward to a slow burn romance in the series to follow

I was so pleasantly surprised by how much I loved this book! I read it for a book club but I might explore more of this author's work now. It follows the stories of three women from different time periods (1908, 1934, & 1998) who have encounters with evil witches. The world building was great, I loved the interconnection and overarching themes of the three stories. The audiobook was very well done, the narrator made each time period feel distinct.

Kenyazero I‘ve heard of this one, looks like it‘s a good read! 5d
KT1432 I‘m really excited about this. I loved Mexican Gothic (it‘s not for everyone though), and I‘m currently reading a vampire story by her that went out of print for a while, Certain Dark Things, and I‘m really enjoying it too. I think she may be a pretty consistent author for me. 🙂 5d

When Splinter & Ash learn that the Larks are planning on attacking the city of Haven during the Festival of Lights, the two girls decide to do all they can to save their city.

Fantastic follow up! The friendship between the 2 girls is fantastic, all the characters are so unique. Pacing kept me engaged w/out feeling like we were rushing. I do wish we could get more world building of the culture & the magic, but overall a wonderful read!🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑

Edgar can see ghosts & he lives his life fearful of every encounter. Jamie designs haunted houses & while they are intrigued by Edgar, they can tell that he is keeping something from them. In order for their new relationship to flourish they both must overcome familial trauma and trust each other
If you love a hurt/comfort dynamic this book is for you. I loved watching these two work through things together, all with a touch of the supernatural 👻

This was a really fun middle grade graphic novel. The story was adventurous and heartwarming, with a great cast of characters. The images were gorgeous, such cozy and warm colors, detailing a beautiful setting I wanted to step into and visit. Would definitely recommend if you want a quick and sweet fantasy family of sorcerers and ghosts to fall for

A family vacation gets interrupted by a nearby volcano, & they are all stranded for 6 weeks. Secrets get revealed, relationships are tried, & romance is in the air.

A cute listen. I adored the setting, & I definitely found myself getting invested in some characters more than others. But not a lot else happens in this book, & I think I need more plot than everyone talks to each other for 14 hours. 😅 Fantastic 🏳️‍🌈 & indigenous rep!🌕🌕🌕🌑🌑

When Oberon develops late powers from a generational mutation, he relies on his own projection guide to help him through the ensuing crisis. I don‘t remember why I picked this up, but it was a fun read. Beautiful art and a saga of character development facing your own fears and destructive anxieties. This had a lot of fun twists and turns. There are a few things that are a bit weak, but not so weak that the story is unenjoyable. #LGBTQIA #Comics

Two manga artists who love each other‘s work strike up a fake dating relationship for no reason? (There was a reason, I just can‘t remember because it wasn‘t compelling). This manga is just ok. It‘s cute, and will probably be great for the right reader. I was not very invested in the characters‘ relationship until pretty late in this volume, which wasn‘t enough to make me want to read the next one. #manga #Artist #LGBTQIA

A wild dash through two-spirit and indigiqueer speculative fiction. I enjoyed exploring these writers‘ world experiences, hopes, and fears through this collection. The stories are dire, making this a difficult read at times. #LGBTQIA #Indigenous #ShortStories

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

After husbands Isaiah and Derek are mysteriously murdered, their father‘s team up to find the culprits and take revenge. Lots of violence, but I love that.

Some aspects seemed a little too contrived for me and predictable but it was a fun read. Quickly becoming a fan of SA Crosby! Thanks #camplitsy25 for introducing me to him. 😃

TieDyeDude I feel like some aspects of his stories are always a little cliché, but they come from a different enough perspective that it is forgivable. Plus, he's just such a good writer! 3w
Kitta @TieDyeDude yes! That‘s why it‘s not a 5* for me, King of Ashes was though. Loved that one. 3w
Kenyazero Sounds interesting! 3w
Kitta @Kenyazero it was! It‘s mostly about two fathers who were previously not supportive coming to terms with their sons sexuality - plus a lot of violence and revenge! Fun thriller. 3w
