pickThis was my first #AuldLangSpine read from @Librarybelle as well as my first read of the year, and it was a great way to kick off both! I enjoyed this GBBO-themed story and its lovable characters. Although I often get frustrated with “character is weighed down by a secret from the past” storylines (JUST TELL THEM!), this one mostly worked for me. The flashbacks were predictable, but I enjoyed how the author wove in specific bakes ⤵️
pickWhen I‘m not feeling well, I love reaching for favorite authors. Colgan writes wonderful characters and heartwarming stories. The relationship between Issy and Grandpa Joe is sweet, loving and beautiful.

pickI enjoyed it so much! It was a perfect way to start the year and provided a real eye-opener into the lives of people in Jamaica.
The book does an amazing job describing Jamaican life, food, scenery, and settings. And the food! It had me salivating, I could almost taste it all!
pick“The Dos and Donuts of Love” is oh so sweet on representation. The Fluffy Bengali and her ex-Twainese girlfriend on opposite sides of the donut shop wars yet further conflict results when they become competitors on the Junior Irish Baking Show. There is rivalry, out-of-control egos, there is sabotage. There are pastries enough to make you very, very hungry!
Enjoy the Irish accents, enjoy the “Drive Me Glazy” donuts! 🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩

This foodie #Friendship book has been in my TBR for ages. I remember my mom getting Amish friendship bread, the recipe & starter from a neighbor once & she went through a phase of sharing it with friends & family.💙🍞💙
