By Book or By Crook: A Lighthouse Library Mystery

Librarybelle While this one is a little deep and can cause emotions, I think this is also an extremely helpful book during this time. We all react differently to situations, but we‘re also not alone. Gottlieb is amazing.

Maybe You Should Talk to Someone: A Therapist, HER Therapist, and Our Lives Revealed

Librarybelle A spin-off of Pride and Prejudice set in a Muslim community in Canada. It‘s fun, awkward, and good distractive reading:

Librarybelle YA with a big punch. I absolutely love this book...Death‘s handmaiden sent on assignment to assassinate an official. Problems ensue.

Grave Mercy

Librarybelle Kate Warne, the first female Pinkerton agent, gets her turn to shine in this novel. There‘s hints of romance and danger. And, #LitsyAuthor :

Girl in Disguise

Librarybelle Historical fiction set in 6th century Scotland. The rise of the legend of Merlin appears. First in a projected trilogy. Can‘t wait for book two!

The Lost Queen (The Lost Queen Trilogy, #1)

Librarybelle The Blizzard of 1888 in NYC killed hundreds, including Prudence‘s fiancé. But, she thinks it wasn‘t the blizzard that killed him, and she‘s set to discover what really happened. I had the pleasure of meeting the author last Fall, as this was my library system‘s One Book selection. She‘s fun, and the series so far has 4 titles published (this is book one):

Librarybelle Probably my favorite of 2019. Finally....someone gave voice to the victims of Jack the Ripper. Amazingly written.

Librarybelle Barbados historical fiction, filled with lush descriptions and a romance that could rock society

Scochrane26 I‘m using a book that was recommended by a bookseller last year. I haven‘t read it yet but have kept it in mind because she said it was so good. 4y
