AileenRR I love Simon (ha!) SO MUCH! The book and movie were my fall 2018 obsessions. I don‘t love the voice of the book narrator though. Much prefer the voice of movie Simon. What do you think? 6y

Just Fly Away | Andrew McCarthy

so-so

When I picked this book up, of course, I thought of the actor Andrew McCarthy but I didn‘t realize it was actually him until I finished the book and read the back sleeve. This story is hard to get into and through the first 50 pages, I kept wanting to ditch it but there was something about sweet Lucy that made me hang in there. Now, that I know it was his first book, I understand the rough start. Hang in there, it is a tender read. #lovesimon

Leah on the Offbeat | Becky Albertalli

Unfortunately, I didn‘t enjoy this book much. I always felt in Simon vs... that Leah wasn‘t very nice, and my theory was confirmed in Leah on the Offbeat. She is very rude and self-absorbed. I don‘t need characters to be likable to be interesting, but I really wouldn‘t want Leah around me.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ for Simon & Bram, the body positivity and the high school nostalgia.
