Today I finished the thriller series "Katanjemande" on Netflix. It is the book adaptation of the book with the same title by Sören Sveistrup. I don't read the book and I like the series.

Very rarely do I go and see two movies in the same day (think this was the first time that I did this). I thought they were both excellent films and while both were @ complete opposite ends of the movie spectrum, they did everything that I expected they would do. Mrs. Harris was a pure joy to watch and Crawdads was introspective and tinged w/ a bit of sadness. I hadn‘t read either novel prior to seeing the movie adaptations. #booktomovie

melissajayne Mrs. Harris is the sort of movie I can see myself when I need a bit of pick me up, same as Julie & Julia does for me at present. Crawdads would be for a rainy day of sorts or for when my book club does the book. Both are wonderful and well done and now I need to read the books… 5mo
tpixie @melissajayne The Mrs Harris movie left the theaters before I could get to it. I‘m gonna have to check out the book. Crawdads movie was great and so was the book.! 4mo

I had a very specific way I wanted this book to end, and fortunately it ended perfectly. I liked the main character and his interactions with the future versions of himself. But the “stories” within the story felt kind of unnecessary and didn‘t add anything to the overall plot.

Day 211.
Here I will note 365 books (or as many as I will have before I get tired) that have shaped my taste in literature. No explanations, no reviews. Just the cover of the book.
I do not challenge anyone. You are all welcome to take part.

So, this book was very short, so it was easy to get through. But I really didn't enjoy it. I am not the right audience for this book. I haven't seen the movie in forever, so I have it on right now for background noise. #BookToMovie

HollyBolly I read this after seeing the movie a while ago while I was in high school or maybe college. Thus is one of those rare instances where the movie was better. 10mo
ElizaMarie @HollyBolly YES! I rarely say that the movie was better, but this one is definitely the case! 10mo

Well I didn‘t finish the book but I did see the movie today. Apparently I managed to get far enough through it that I stopped just after this movie did. The movie was good. Decent enough move to book adaptation. Anyone else see it? What did you think? #dune #dunemovie #dunebook #booktomovie #booktomovieadaptation #classics

LapReader My partner is so excited to take me to it when it arrives in Australia. He ordered the box set of books so he could finish the series before we see the movie. 13mo
EdnaC @LapReader that‘s so fun!! I read the book because my son really liked it. It‘s been fun sharing it. I hope you and your husband enjoy the movie when it comes. :) 13mo

Watched the movie adaptation of Motherless Brooklyn tonight. Wasn't bad. Wasn't great either, but it did inspire me to pull out my Letham collection and give them a re-read.
I highly recommend the book and mostly recommend the movie. I mean, Ed Norton....can't really go completely wrong!

mollyrotondo I did not love this book but the movie was a lot of fun. For me this was a “movie was better than the book” moment. 2y
AkashaVampie Glad u loved it hun. 2y
jb72 I got this one from the library. 2y
ElizaMarie @mollyrotondo I can see how you would think that. I loved the book (maybe thats too strong) but ... I loved the movie more... So definitely get what you are saying! I am glad I consumed it both ways though! 2y
ElizaMarie @jb72 Can't wait to see what you think of this one. 2y
