I got a few books about organic gardening, cows, and yoga. In celebration of Earth Day tomorrow, I have been riding my bike for days now instead of driving. #librarygirl #earthdayeveryday

Just because I‘m not reading for pleasure right now doesn‘t mean I‘m not still visiting one of my most favorite places to be. #librarygirl #oregon
The lobby in the Central Library in downtown Portland, Oregon. #librarygirl #portland
Happy 103rd birthday, Beverly Cleary! You‘ll always be my favorite author. Thank you for writing such descriptive books with lovable characters that are set right here in our home; Oregon. This is a picture that I took with the Ramona statue that is a part of the Beverly Cleary Sculpture Garden in Grant Park in Portland, Oregon. It‘s walking distance to Ramona‘s childhood home on Klickitat Street. #beverlycleary #ramona #oregon
The cool thing about not reading is that I‘m knitting again. When I was on prescribed psychiatric medications, I lost a lot of my creativity and since being off of meds now for 14 months, those sparks of creativity have returned. #knittery #mentalhealth
I‘m in the downward end of manic episode and I have absolutely no desire to read. It breaks my heart to have given up on these great books before finishing but as a true #librarygirl I‘m going to give them back for someone else to enjoy since I‘m not reading. #manic
Forever my #wcw I 💚 you, Beverly Cleary. @Powells #spreadlove #sharebooks
Reading in the window in the sunshine on a Sunday with organic dark roast coffee and my bookworm socks. It really doesn‘t get much better. #sundayfunday
Claudia and Monday have been inseparable and then Monday just disappears. If your best friend went missing and no one seemed to care... what would you do? I blazed through this babe because I had to know what happened to Monday. I had to go back a couple times and reread parts because I just didn‘t follow but what a story! I think that the ways our brain tries to protect us from trauma and tragedy is amazing! #youngadultbooks
This is a bush that is near the lake behind my house. Every day I walk Charlie around the lake and always think of Dr. Seuss when I see it. You see it too, right? #seethemagic
Snow day #7 of 2019. I know it doesn‘t sound like much to those covered in snow most of the winter but out here in the Willamette Valley of Oregon, we don‘t see much snow. Some folks flocked to the store for food before the predicted snow storm.... I went to the library. #librarygirl
Rome, Lex and Mercy are girls from Cottonwood and they were either born with wonderful gifts or horrible curses depending on who you‘re talking to. The loyalty these girls show each other is beautiful. They are so tight but at the same time, they‘re so far away, each of them holding on to secrets so big they can‘t tell even each other. #magic
That happy feeling when your hold comes in at the library and it‘s the new new Angie Thomas book, On The Come Up. I‘m gonna go ahead and stop what I‘m reading and start this babe. #ireadya
Because sometimes my self care is taking my favorite book, deep into the woods and reading to the trees. 🌲 🤗 #treehugger
I started this babe today and I‘m only 25 pages into it and she‘s gripping my heart. Someone bring me another cup of coffee because I‘m not moving!
You never know what you‘ll find in the stacks! 🥋
I wanted to like this book so much but it‘s just went on and on about nothing (which seems to be a super disappointing theme with many new YA authors). I should have bailed on it about halfway through when I realized it was like living a Groundhog‘s Day. Blah, blah, rinse and repeat.
I always tell myself that I‘m going in just to pick up my books on hold but I always end up over here... #librarygirl
I started this babe last night and I‘m 128 pages in and still unsure about it. The main character, Bett has been through a major trauma involving a friend but the author has barely given me any backstory but yet, writing about a backstory....
No one understands how I can eat apples and still stay in ketosis but I‘m going to keep on doing it! 🙂 Fuji apple with sugar free sunflower seed butter and salt. This book is excellent! I‘m really taking my time in exploring the recipes and Cristina‘s approach at whole food living. #thecastawaykitchen
All this 5K training is no joke! I‘m forcing myself to stretch to read. 🙂 I‘m 130 pages deep in this book and I like the characters a lot but I‘m having a hard time picking it up to read. I want to know what happens but there‘s something missing... #ireadya
The young adult section or Teen Scene at my local library is so amazing! Look at this super sweet idea they had for Valentine‘s Day. ❤️ #librarygirl
Keto Reset is a free download from The Ketogentic Girl, Vanessa Spina. I‘ve been keto for over a year now but it‘s always great to keep researching and learning. I actually like that she‘s not a dietician or nutritionist and just a gal that wants you to feel as good as she does! #ketoisneato
A peek inside my neighborhood‘s Little Free Library. #littlefreelibrary
I‘m starting this babe this morning with a delicious homemade slice of grainfree keto bread and a cup of delicious pour over. #keto
This doggo is up to his old tricks! Doesn‘t he know that I have to find out what happens in this book?! #dogsoflitsy
Fat fueled breakfast of avocado, scrambled egg and delicious bone broth. I‘m 140 pages into this book and I‘m worried... these girls.
Snow day! Charlie‘s first snow! The doggo gets to play in the snow and then we will make something delicious from this great cookbook! #dogsoflitsy
I‘ve been doing yoga for a very long time but I found this gem to be wonderful. I think that Jessamyn‘s approach to yoga is laid back and her descriptions and photos of the poses are great! Even though yoga classes are with other humans (and animals) yoga itself is very personal and I like the way that Jessamyn reiterates to just do your own thing. Think about your own breath, your own poses, your own flow. 🧘🏽♀️💚 #yogalove
I suddenly remembered that I left my book on my bed and ran into my room! Charlie was snuggled up with it! His relationships with books has come a very long way. Maybe the days of eating library books is over! 📚 🐛🖤 #dogsoflitsy
I can‘t put this babe down. They called my name at the dental office three times before I heard them. #imreading
My fourth grade teacher read us The Earthsea Trilogy and I just fell in love with the way Ursula Le Guin writes. It‘s incredible to read the poems she composed even in her last days. You‘re incredibly missed. 💚 #theoriginalwizard
Because bacon makes books better. 🥓 📚 (not saying this sweet little story isn‘t a gem on its own!)
My bike, books and cannabis. I‘m not sure how that works but it works! 🤪 This book is a true gem. I am really loving how the author has planted the seeds of mutual interest between Grace and Eva. 💚 #adultsreadingyoungadult
🤯 so much information (even though it seems a little dated)!
Are Frannie and Louis the most mature teenagers to ever grace pages? Throughout the book I just kept thinking, “They‘re kids, right?” And, by the end I thought, “Wow, people in their 40‘s aren‘t this mature or realistic.” It was a really easy read and I enjoyed the little bits of magic.
My heart just broke over and over for the torment that the main character, Hannah endured on the bus and at school. With much of the bullying taking place right in front of her big sister makes it hard to read. Even though the subject matter is of a darker sort, the silver lining is the unpredictable friendship she forms with Josh. #youngadult
Just 19 pages in but I‘m enjoying this babe. The Mate Lemon tea by Numi is perfect for after lunch and before training. #ireadya
Because books have attitudes during photo shoots, too! #thisbook
I think books like this are important. Disorganized eating is growing at an alarming rate and it‘s not only young women that are suffering. The main character, Elizabeth is very relatable even if you don‘t have disorganized eating issues. It‘s great to tag along on her journey towards self discovery and boundaries. #ireadya #disorganizedeating
Grainfree snacking and books. Hello Saturday. #selfcare Oh and this book is unfolding into something really sweet.
The more time I spend in nature, the more I enjoy poetry. This is a beautiful collection of words with the subtle peeks through photographs into the natural world. I only connected with a few poems from this book but it was a real raw connection.
In 2017, I starting making a very conscious effort to love without expectation or reciprocation. I‘ve never felt more fulfilled and honored. #justlove
This book is fantastic! Ali Miller is filled with so much excellent knowledge and I love the way that she uses food as medicine! She breaks things down well enough that you don‘t need a medical dictionary to understand it. I think I highlighted the entire book because there‘s so much delicious information. 🧠 ❤️ #mentalhealth
This is a super sweet story of sibling bonds and blossoming love. Chloe wants to find her sister Ivy a boyfriend. She chooses Ethan who is in Ivy‘s special needs class at school. What Chloe doesn‘t know is that Ivy has her eye on someone else. 🧩💜 #weneeddiversebooks
Whoa, right?! Ran into this treasure in Tacoma, Washington. 🍎 #steinbeck
It gets going and then stalls a little. Rinse and repeat. Maybe this Zevia will help things along. #youngadult
