I listened to this one over audio, great narration. What a wild ride of a book. Amber Jamison can‘t believe her bad luck when she‘s abducted by a serial killer. She‘s rescued by a mysterious woman. After Amber leaves college to escape what happened she falls back into her old patterns. Her escape west has her meet a true crime Vegas group & her mysterious rescuer. A story full of twists & a quick, fun listen. #bookspin book

UNPUTDOWNABLE! Who knew a book about serial killers would be LOL hilarious but also a really good thriller!

Amber Jamison is a whole mess. When she gets kidnapped by a serial killer & is about to be murdered she is upset with herself that it happened to her. Her snark made me snort laugh so much!
But luckily (or maybe not so lucky) she gets saved. And things just get weirder and weirder from there and the twisty tale of a thriller ride begins!

I loved this book. The characters were snarky and fun to read. The serial killer mystery was interesting and the supporting characters were great. The killer was truly evil and was a good adversary. I enjoyed this very much.

This one was recommended to me by a trusted bookseller and it didn‘t disappoint. I loved the dynamics of the characters and how this community of Vegas locals had their network established to be able to get things handled. I even went right along with the potential twist, unsure how things would turn out. This was a fun quick read and I‘d suggest it for anybody who likes murder road vigilante type stories.

Amber is rescued from a serial killer by a mysterious woman, who kills the man during the rescue. Amber is then pushed back into her previous life in an effort to avoid law enforcement and ends up enmeshed with her rescuer. This is both a good thriller and a very funny book, and I loved that combination. I will for sure be looking for more from Gagnon.

6-22-23: My 70th finished book of 2023! Amber Jamison, came from a small time grifter family and as of age 15 had to become a grifter herself to live. Until something awful happened and she decided to go straight. Now, Amber finds herself in the back of a serial killer‘s van. Miraculously, she is saved by a mysterious woman. Amber finds herself in Vegas next making friends but getting into trouble even more trouble. It seems to find her. Crazy/fun

Delicious, dark, & funny. This story follows a former con turned turner psych major about to graduate when a serial killer abducts her. And it only gets crazier from there. Filled with fantastically funny characters, and a few twisted dark ones too, I loved this mystery set in Vegas with nods to noir, cinema, and a whole lot of queer hijinks. Can‘t wait for the next one! @AllDebooks #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks #netgalleygroup #NGGSummerSmashup

I liked this book more than I thought I would!
Reformed con-woman Amber manages to escape the clutches of a serial killer with the help of a mystery woman, just to find herself caught in the sights of yet another serial killer.
Teaming up with the unofficial queen of Vegas, a sex worker, and a vigilante, Amber reluctantly turns the hunt on her hunter.
Also, surprisingly funny.
