My August reads. I didn‘t read as much as I had planned, but it‘s all good since I was truly enjoying my summer. Fell into “The Selection” rabbit hole, as well as the ACOTAR and The Grisha series. My Plain Jane was probably my favorite - made me laugh through! Also passed my NEWTs with 1 Outstanding, 3 exceeds expectations, & 4 Acceptable. #augustreads #bookstagram #ripreadathon #magicalreadathon2018 #newtsreadathon2018

My August #wrapup ! I did really well this month thanks to two challenges, and now my to-review list is outrageous.
#makemereadit I didn't get to the last book but I am okay with this.
#NEWTsreadathon2018 I managed to pass every subject with an outstanding!

DGRachel That‘s a great total! Makes my 12 look shameful. 😂 6y
InLibrisVeritas @DGRachel If it makes you feel better, my brain is mush and my ears ache from my headphones. 😂 I normally only hit about 15 or so, usually never above 20. So this is highly unusual for me. 6y
Moray_Reads 👍👍👍 well done! 6y

Anyone else participate in the #NEWTsReadathon2018 in August? I had so much fun with this one, and as you can see got a ton of reading done! Such fun challenges and the Twitter community participation was awesome too! I challenged myself to 19 reads, and ended up completing 21 + 4 audiobooks (not pictured here)! I‘ll definitely participate again next year. #AugustWrapUp

InLibrisVeritas Way to go! I participated as well! I am working on my wrap up posts for the month now. 😊 6y

Pickpick

This turned out to be kind of cute! I love the focus on science and growing up, and adorable friendships that are formed. The grandfather is a bit overbearing at times, but sometimes it can be endearing. Definitely looking forward to reading the second one soon!

Another one down for #NEWTsreadathon2018!

Finally getting to this one! It was pick three for the #makemereadit challenge and it'll be my 'A' level for potions in the #NEWTsreadathon2018

I'm getting to it a bit later than I intended but I am excited to get back into this universe. 💕

My #NEWTsreadathon2018 Muggle Studies 'E' levels called for a biography, so I figured I would give this one a go.
I find myself appreciating this more than I expected to. I tend to shy away from political books but the past few years gave forced me to pay more attention to them.

Eggbeater What you said. The last few years have forced me to become involved. I have social anxiety. I'd really rather not and I resent that I can't stay in the shadows and just vote. 6y
InLibrisVeritas @Eggbeater I have social anxiety too and any political conversation is liable to set it off, so I completely understand 6y

The Summer Wives: A Novel | Beatriz Williams

Pickpick

Finished “The Summer Wives.” It spans a few different time periods, discussing love, crime, and high society. I ended up really liking the book, even though I felt that the main love story wasn‘t reasonable. I enjoyed the characters, however, and how everything intertwined and wrapped up. I also enjoyed the aspect of the haves and the have-nots in the story. #boutofbooks #newtsreadathon2018
