This is the amazing, lovely #TravelingStars2024 #Litha package from @Chrissy 😱😍Spectacular! I learn from the items Chrissy sends. Sometimes I don‘t not what to include in my package but Chrissy knows so well these celebrations. I feel like I‘m in that world, feel serene when I open her packages♥️
I supposedly finished a course about Wicca. I think I‘m going/need/have to repeat the whole course😳🤦🏽‍♀️But the peace is within me☺️🙌Thanks 😘

A Book of Pagan Prayer | Ceisiwr Serith
post image
Mehso-so

I‘ve been trying to process this one for ages now. The first part is a good conversation starter. The second half is such a patchwork of pre-fab prayers it‘s hard to take them as genuine. Maybe if this had been done as a collaboration between the author and other people on the paths for these prayers it might seem more genuine and therefore be more helpful. By the end, my eyes were sort of crossed and I was just happy it was over.

GingerAntics I still feel “I‘ll pray for you” as a passive aggressive move or a way to absolve oneself of doing nothing at best and blaming others for things out of their control at worst has ruined open, genuine prayer for everyone. 4mo

Paganism in the Roman Empire | Ramsay MacMullen
post image

I‘ve been really scattered brained. So I decided to find the most boring book on my shelves, from my 1994 undergraduate class on the Roman Empire. (Yeah, I was supposed to read it then. Oops) Well, i‘ve been reading it. Not sure how far i will get.

Suet624 Is this supposed to help with your scatter brained issue? 6mo
Graywacke @Suet624 yes. Boring and demands concentration. Sometimes that works 6mo
Suet624 Interesting! 6mo

batsy That actually sounds fascinating! But I guess it all depends on how it's written 😆 6mo
Graywacke @batsy well, hopefully eventually. But there is some oddness about it. It‘s focused only on 100-300 ad (ce) and cites mainly Eusebius and Origen, two Christians known for describing pagan rituals. So…. he might just be presenting the ancient propaganda. Not sure yet. 6mo
batsy @Graywacke I absolutely do not know enough about this topic to be able to comment, but I get how that's a perspective that's going to be biased. I will keep an eye out for your review. 6mo

@Chrissyreadit I hope everything you sent is here. The box was lost, in bad shape and open😳but everything found inside was in perfect condition. No damages. I read the information you sent. I think this celebration is so meaningful to start the year. Love it😍Is this the book I should read and pass forward. I‘m a little lost in this activity.

Answering your question, nope we don‘t see big weather changes over the year, maybe..⬇️

Gissy (Cont.) more rain and less hot. But maybe I‘m a little crazy but I feel the sun different during this time of the year. Summer is so hot 🥵 my least favorite time of the year😣

Thank you so much🤗

I‘m so glad #Litsolace will be going on all year. #Naturalitsy here are some pictures of signs of spring from my recent walks. I‘m not ready to be done with winter yet, but I must admit it‘s nice to see flowers again!

TheBookHippie How lovely!!! 7mo

Welcome the sun and the spring's rebirth; the light of the sun renews the earth.

Happy Imbolc 💚

May this Imbolc Season
bring a time of hope and inner reflection.
May Brigid, the goddess of poetry and fire, grant you the stirrings of inspiration!

TheBookHippie Imbolc is a Celtic festival that celebrates the beginning of spring and honors the Celtic goddess Brigid. It is a time to celebrate the sun‘s light returning after a long winter–and prepare for the bounty of spring. 7mo
Cuilin They finally made it a public holiday in Ireland. Last year I think was the first year. This Monday all schools and businesses have a day off to honor Bridget.!!!! 7mo
