I'm still plodding through the Hugos list, which is one reason I'm reading Binti. I love it so far! It has amazing, vibrant worldbuilding and a Star Trek vibe.

Really topical book. It's accessibly and entertainingly written. The prose is very list-like though, and that's where it loses something in my eyes. If you can handle the science though, this would be an excellent choice. #symphonyinc #roberthazen #review

1. Do things like DnD count? If not, Cluedo.
2. New Zealand for the Middle Earth stuff.
3. I am not doing reading goals so much any more.
4. Spirit Animals. I thought it was going to be too young, but it's still well-worth a read.
5. Which fictional universe would you like to adopt a child from? (My answer is Panem)

tournevis Of course DnD counts! 4y
Scochrane26 Very good question. And panem is a great answer because those kids are definitely traumatized. Maybe I‘d adopt a kid from the orphanages from Anne of green gables or Annie. (edited) 4y
gradcat Ooh, great question! As old as I am, I‘ve always understood that I‘m too immature to take of a child, so I have to pass on it. But I find it a very creative question, I must say. ♥️ 4y
coffees i read the first volume of spirit animals. i thought it was ok but definitely not for my age group. maybe it's because i like darker content ^^;;; oh man, that's a tough one! i can't think of any Orz 4y
katlyn447 Great question! I'm thinking I'd adopt Wayward Children universe. I love the idea of a ragtag group of children with extraordinary experiences finding commonality and acceptance like at Eleanor West's school 4y

@PickwickPlockPlock Thanks for the tag!

*I received this free of charge in exchange for an honest review*

This is a great pick! It's a non-fiction about the author's time as a submariner on a nuclear submarine during the Cold War. It's very readable and so informative. It's an enjoyable read and written really accessibly.

It's not for the faint-hearted though as there are graphic mentions of sex and bodily substances of all kinds. There is also a lot of bad language.

Not the book for me. If you love fantasy schools and you're looking for something that's on the younger end of YA, you'd like this. #queenofblood #fantasy
