kspenmoll I will be part of a lawn audience at a local University, eating a picnic dinner & imbibing cocktails during a production of King Lear. It starts at 6:00 so I may be still there, on the way home, or…I am with a dear friend - we started this summer tradition a few years ago after she retired from the high school. #hygge 2w

Chrissyreadit Good morning I am working on reducing stress, building community and staying present! I drank a delightful cup of coffee and may make a cup of clevr mushroom and coffee- tastes great and helps me focus!!!! Librarybelle I did enjoy this one—lots of descriptive passages that made me feel like I was on the island. There is also a solid relationship between Sophia and Mimi, though Sophia did drive me nuts at times! 4w

IriDas I really enjoyed this book. I loved that it was a series of self-contained chapters. The relationship between the girl and her grandmother was very real, nobody was the “font of wisdom” so to speak, they were both just fully human. My Alma mater has several of her books. I think I will have to check them out when school starts back. 4w

julieclair I adored The Summer Book! It was my only 5-star read in June. The relationship between grandmother and granddaughter was something truly special and loving. Even when they were angry with each other, they understood each other so well. 3w
