One of my work colleagues made me these with the 3D printer.
I love the hanging “books read this year” and it comes with a little box with multiple numbers. Right now, I have it on my book cart until I decide where it will live.

Last week a young child came running into the library, unceremoniously ditched her shoes, and continued into the children‘s area to play with the learning toys.
I could not love this more. The library is a home for the community, a place of welcome for all ages.

I just started this Geek Challenge & Giveaway at my library and it‘s been super popular! My next two Geek Giveaways are Amulet and Phoebe and her Unicorn (which I advertised on the back of the flyer).

I think this has to be the most random object I‘ve found in the Children‘s Library. We gets lots of clothing, toys, water bottles, rocks, leaves and sticks- but this is new.

Our Circulation remodel is still not completely done (9 months and counting- waiting for the desk), but I painted a few walls on Friday so we could hang my mom‘s painting this weekend.
One more thing done, and I love how it looks. Except the wall plates. I forgot those.

Working in bare feet today after trying to stop, or at least redirect, a flooding sink in the women‘s bathroom. Thank goodness it was the sink and not the toilet!

Someone put up a new “motivational” poster in the library break room, “If at first you don‘t succeed, you‘re in good company.”
So I fixed it on my break today. Instead of Roosevelt, Eisenhower, Lincoln and Truman we now have Oprah Winfrey, Mazie Hirono, Dolores Huerta, and J.K. Rowling. I‘ll work on the biographies this week.
My plan is to change it every month.
