My collaborator and best friend Michael Sheehan, Jr. and I both love movies about mummies and ancient Egypt, and we visited the King Tut exhibit four times, when it came to a local museum. I've loved the works of H.P. Lovecraft since I was a teenager, so this book was a labor of love for both of us.

panTwelfth and (hooray!) last novel in Rohmer's series featuring supervillain Fu Manchu This one has our heroes going undercover in China to stop Fu Manchu from fighting Communists -- because if he wins he just might take over the world. Or something: it doesn't make a lot of sense but there are zombies and creepy killer insects. The goofy plot and cool monsters do not balance out the series's other flaws, which are the usual.
