I discovered an 18 year old secret! There was a 2nd edition of the tagged book published in 2001. I had replaced my copies of the original 1995 edition a few times and had never come across this edition online or in bookstores. I found it while looking for the book in another language! 🙄 So of course I had to get it! 🙃🙂

2. I should finish the tagged book, but as excited as I was to get it, it will be a chore to finish it.
3. For sure 1- I have been waiting for "America Before" to come out and April's the month!
@Samplergal

Samplergal I hope you finish the book and enjoy it. I was so excited to get an ARC last month and can barely get a chapter in a day. Thanks for playing. 6y
CassiM @Samplergal thanks, I do try really hard when I get ARCs to read and review them before their publish date, but this one might be a little after 🙄 6y

@Trashcanman this is my current read for the podcast! Hope that you have had a chance to listen again and please let me know what you think and like and don't like! And I am going to try to share more on here again!

Scranton does what the academic world has forgotten to do. He subjectively looks at the points, facts and merits of Velikovsky's work and then examines the known facts and suggested theories that could prove or disprove them.

Trashcanman Where ya been? 6y
CassiM @Trashcanman I have been reading and writing and ... shh don't tell, I started a podcast. How have you been? How were your holidays? 6y
Trashcanman @CassiM oh that's so cool. What's it about and what's it called? If you can reveal it that is. My holidays were good. How about yours? I'm glad you responded. 😊 6y

CassiM @Trashcanman it's a history podcast called Conversations With Cassi you can find it on Google play and Spotify and I have a page link on my blog Random Thought Provocateur on blogger 🙂 6y
Trashcanman @CassiM well that's super cool! Im a big history dweeb. That's hard work. That's super cool. I'm starting a new job soon after 17 years 6y
CassiM Wow! Congrats on the new job! 6y
Trashcanman Hey I dug the podcast on AI. And got scared at what the new I. Q levels are. Scary and awesome. 😊 6y
CassiM @Trashcanman OMG!!! Thank you! Isn't it sad that the normal numbers have been so lowered making people erroneously believe that they are smarter than they really are. 🙄 I am glad that you listened and liked it. You made my day!!! 6y
Trashcanman @CassiM I truly enjoyed it. I'm glad it made your day. Your point on how vaccines have been in some ways a burden on population overgrowth was riveting. It seldom gets pointed out. But as we approach 8 billion I believe we'll see more and more fractures. And just today I heard how there is now a vaccine for ebola. Looking forward to your next one. 6y
CassiM @Trashcanman I knew they were working on it and to a degree that's one that I could get behind. I am not anti-vax, I just believe that they should be reserved for diseases that have a 60% or higher mortality rate. We have got to stop over medicating and over toxing ourselves! Greed (not just the monetary kind) has got to be reigned in! 6y
Trashcanman @CassiM I'm not anti-vac either. But chicken pox? You're correct, or HPV or the freaking Flu shot. Good points. 6y
CassiM @Trashcanman oh don't get me started on the flu, it only protects against a few of the dozens of known strands and you cannot guess which ones will be epidemic each season not to mention due to development time the shot you get this season was tested against the equivalent of the viruses GGGGGGGrandparents at the very least! 6y

This is great read! It logically lists and evaluates numerous points "supporting" Howard Vyse's claims about his 1837 Operations in Gizeh. The writing is efficiently readable and focuses not on making claims but providing all available evidence so that each can intelligently draw their own conclusions. Well done!

This is the way history should be explored and valued. This narrative contains loads of pertinent information while also providing a beautiful human realness to facts and dates and names laying in the past. It is apparent that the author is very interested and knowledgeable about the story's existence.

If you have not ventured into non-public education views on ancient history, this should not be your first. If, however, you are aware of OCT and questions raised by West, Buval, Wilson and Hancock, to name a few, this might be of great interest to you. This is still a great read! Wilson's research and delivery show his experience in teasing out knowledge from far flung sources. If the whole "A" word conundrum gets you then pretend it is Prehistory to the Sphinx ? . As to be honest Atlantis and the Sphinx are probably the least mentioned topics.

While this did take effort for me to read, that's cause I don't like biz or econ, it's a great book. This should be a must read for all concerned consumers. The information presented by Peretti, an investigative journalist, is eye-opening and at times shameful.

The Lost Symbol | Dan Brown

Bailedbailed

This was the second time that I tried to read this book and I just can't! Don't get me wrong, I love Dan Brown's not Robert Langdon books and I really liked DaVinci Code and loved Angels and Demons....but that's just as much of Robert as I want! Sorry guys.

Traci1 I think that was the worst of the series. But to be honest none of the Langdon books came close to being as good as Angels and Demons or Da Vinci Code. 7y
CassiM I think it is more the personality of Langdon that bothers me. But I loved Deception Point and another one that I read the same time, neither of them had Langdon and I couldn't put them down! 7y
