Had to buy another physical copy of this book because I lost my copy. How does one even loose a book this big? And no I didn‘t lend it out or leave it somewhere. Did it just sprout legs and walk away? Also this is one of my all time favorite book series.

On my 3rd time reading this thing within 3 years. Looks like it‘s becoming a yearly thing to reread this series. I mean hey, it‘s only my all time fav fantasy series.

Why did I like this? I shouldn‘t have... but I did? Zelazny is better as a short story novelist for sure, he seems terrified of scene descriptors or even coherent plot structures sometimes. But his ideas are fantastic, his dialogue poetic and he isn‘t afraid to blend sci-fi and fantasy into a surreal setting.

Overall, it makes me think of future mythology and I might even read it again, now that it makes more sense.

Finally found a perfectly formatted version and added to kindle. Amazon did not have it in the complete edition and I would have had to get them book by book. Time to reread this, as it is my favorite fantasy series.

I‘ve been reading or re-reading a lot of Ellison stories since his death. This collection includes “Brillo,” the story that led to the “Future Cop” lawsuit in the ‘70s. Interesting tale.
