Outlander Kitchen: The Official Outlander Companion Cookbook | Theresa Carle-Sanders

I love to collect Fandom cookbooks and cookbooks from people I admire. However, I kept collecting these books and they simply decorated our shelf in the front room.

For 2023, I challenged myself to make a recipe from one of these books once a month. And guess what? I completed it!

I have a few cookbooks based on literature, tv shows, or movies but I've never tried a recipe. So my goal for this year is to make something each month from one of my cookbooks. For this month, I made Cream of Nontoxic Mushroom Soup from Outlander Kitchen. 😋

Outlander Kitchen: to the New World and Back Again: The Second Official Outlander Companion Cookbook | Theresa Carle-Sanders

Feeling a little sad today because we should be enjoying our 3rd day in Scotland. Unfortunately a pandemic got into the way of that... ☹️ We can reschedule the trip for next year, so fingers are crossed that we can make everything work and be there this time next year! Since I can't actually be in Scotland, I'm going to get in some Scottish reading and cooking today.

carmens.library @erinreads I'm thankful that the tour company made everything pretty easy for us and I think we actually have two years to rebook, but still sad after looking forward to it for so long! Were you going through a tour group? 4y

erinreads @Books.Bottles.and.Babies No, we rented a house in Inverness and plan to do our own thing. My mother-in-law made all the arrangements and actually worked it out with the person who owns the house who said she would reschedule our group whenever we wanted. And we got vouchers for the airline tickets, so yeah while it‘s a bummer that it got cancelled, at least everything is there for next year. 4y
