Rethinking my stance on Mansfield Park being my least favorite Jane Austen. According to Goodreads last reading was 2013. 1st probably sometime around 1990??? 3rd read through older eyes I have more sympathy for Fanny. To quote @DebinHawaii - Edmund is thinking with his 'Little Ed'. I don't find him near as annoying as Marianne in Sense & Sensibility.

Lcsmcat I was going to post something similar today, but I‘ll just tag on to your post. 😀 As a young reader, I put Mansfield Park as my least favorite Austen and thought Fanny was insipid. Reading it with older (much older!) eyes, I have a lot more respect for her. My opinion of Edmund is more that he‘s immature than inherently inconstant. All in all I appreciate this one more in my 50s than I did in my teens! 3y
