In honor of #sharkweek, I‘m posting the only shark book I actually own. I am not yet sure what kind of shenanigans a chocolate shark can get into, as I‘m saving it this for when I need a palate cleanser. It looks like a cute story. Aside from this and Jaws, I am completely oblivious about fictional shark books. Do you have any good shark story recommendations?

vlwelser My niece is obsessed with sharks. This one made us both laugh. 4y
ravenlee Haven‘t read or seen it, but wasn‘t The Meg about a shark? 4y
abookishbutterfly @ravenlee I just looked it up. Yes, it is. Looks like there is a whole series. I‘d heard of the movie but hadn‘t realized there were books, too. 4y
abookishbutterfly @vlwelser That looks cute! 4y

Seemed appropriate for #SharkWeek 😀🦈 “Don‘t be misled by my bad habit of making everything look cute, and don‘t try to pat one on the head, as they are likely to bite your hand off and hit you over the head with it.”
I think hammerhead sharks and cats must be distant relatives... 🤔 🐈 Oh and bonus Xander also pictured 😻 #catsoflitsy

🦈😳🌊😜🦈📖🎧 🤓 #CurrentListen #Audio #DeweyJuly #Readathon #Audiobook #Thriller #BookToMovie #BookToScreen #SciFi

Thanks to Prime day deals, I got 3 months of Audible for $4.95/month. 🤗

Decided to use my first free credit on this one after seeing the movie trailer the other night when we saw Antman & the Wasp, it looks like it's gonna be hella fun to watch, so why not listen to it first, right?

It is #SharkWeek after all!! 😜🦈😅

I wonder if today‘s #AudibleDailyDeal is in honor of #SharkWeek:
Kwan Wilson was a high school basketball star living in San Diego when a tragic accident changed his life in ways no one could predict. He only looked at his phone for a few seconds, but that was all the time it took to crash his car into a telephone pole, killing his mother and paralyzing him from the waist down. ⬇️

WanderingBookaneer After the accident, his father, Admiral Douglas Wilson, sent him off to live with his maternal grandmother in South Florida. Kwan's new principal, anticipating his depression and isolation, tells him about an internship at a genetics lab in Miami that is testing shark stem cells on rats in an effort to cure cancer and repair spinal injuries. Kwan declines, until he learns the beautiful Anya Patel is an intern at the lab. ⬇️ 6y
WanderingBookaneer When Kwan takes the internship, he learns that the good news is that the stem cells are curing their rat subjects; the bad news is it alters their DNA so much, it kills them. But after a promising breakthrough is made, Kwan risks his life and injects himself with the experimental stem cells, forever altering his destiny and the lives of millions in the process. 6y
