Those of you who work with college students and new hires, who work in career development, and those who love learning… I have been charged with creating and delivering a 15 min program for college students on how to enhance “career-ready skills” — SOFT SKILLS! I can do this, I am confident in my ability to facilitate such, but need to pick a topic FAST. Suggestions? 🧐😬😃

Nutmegnc I‘m not sure of specifics but I LOVE George Couros and his book the Innovators Mindset is also great. This touches on those 21st century skills that students need in the coming job market. I bet you could pick a topic from there. You might also bring in the ISTE standards for students. 3w

Celebrating that I finished my #PopSugar Reading Challenge for 2022! I just did the regular prompts, and officially finished on July 1. In past years, I was rushing to finish my last prompts in December.

I‘m thinking of doing the Advanced prompts now but I won‘t stress if not. I‘ve never done those before. It‘s nice to be able to read *whatever* for the rest of the year.

I love self-help but I hate when authors repeat themselves 10 times with examples to fill space. This concise version was perfect for me. It gave me some good insights and reminded me of some lessons I had learned and used to live by.

So I shared some photos of my book collection in a Facebook Group, then I get this random message. I'm not sure what to think. I can't help but think this is how people get lured into scams. I work in the financial industry so my trust for people is VERY low. 🤷‍♀️

Soubhiville I‘d send them the link to Little Free Library.org and tell them to look at the map. There may be several LFL‘s near them that they could get books from. Also a link to your library system. 2y

ChaoticMissAdventures I hate to think the worst of people, I used to see this when I helped to monitor a FB group and it is exhausting, I agree with no further engagement. Sadly it might be someone who is not in your country and has a different culture that just feels weird, but then it would also be expensive to get the books to them! 2y

Not what I was expecting/ looking for exactly but…still super enjoyable.
Alexandra Heminsley decides at 29 that she‘s ready to take the athletic leap & run the London Marathon. This is her journey from couch potato to runner of multiple marathons. Alexandra is super self-deprecating, snarky & really delightful. She‘s also 25 years younger than I am. I‘m not looking to run a marathon but I would like to move off my couch. I wanted more how to👇🏼

Cinfhen and less “yes, you can!!!” Still, super inspiring and there was some useful information. I enjoyed getting to know Alex and her family. I see there are 2 more books written by Alexandra, which I‘m considering reading. But now I need to find a book, that‘s a bit more technical 😉 3y
