Fairly new librarian and still in library school and my husband gives me this mug! Love it! Contrary to many beliefs of the "shhhing" librarian most of the time we encourage soft speaking patrons and in the teen and childrens departments rarely have the quiet rule. Just dont be obnoxiously loud.

The summer reading program is totally taking over everything but I finally had a little time to read today and finished Little Monsters. I LOVED this twisty, snowy, thriller about a missing girl and all the people connected to it in a small town. Just the right amount of scary for me. #teenlibrarian

Happy #recommendsday! May is Asian Pacific American Heritage month and we're celebrating with a display of books by Asian/Pacific authors. This is one of my favorite book and it's by a Korean author about a Korean girl who moves to America and has to deal with all the changes that comes with it. I love that this book follows the main character until she graduates high school. What are you reading this week? #teenlibrarian

Happy Recommendsday! I pulled this recommendation straight from my sci-fi display. Tara is an average high schooler with an average life until NASA discovers a message from an alternate Earth where there's another version of Tara. This is a great intro to sci-fi and contemporary mixture with sciencey, alternate world speculation and normal family/friendship drama. #teenlibrarian #recommendsday
