I just found out this is the choice for this year's The Big Read in my community. pickIt's book club day! My favorite day of the month! I'm in a small classic lit book club. We decided to read True Grit this month to coincide with The Big Read pick for our area. I loved it! The story is very interesting: a 14 yr old girl trying to track down her father's killer in Indian territory in the 1870s. But I absolutely loved Mattie! She is a very unique main character. She constantly surprised me and cracked me up. #thebigread #bookclub
Started this today. The Big Read kicks off here tomorrow. I'm also reading this for my book club meeting on Sunday. Only 48 pages in, and already loving Mattie Ross! Excited about this one. #thebigread
