I love this!
You can see Richard Lasher‘s car & the dirt bike he was able to flee the approaching ash cloud on.
I was alive when St Helen‘s happened but was too young & too far away from WA to remember. I wish the book would have gone right to covering the event & not the years before background & its players.
I do remember the elderly man that refused to heed warnings & condemned 16 cats to eruption death. You also get perished dogs & horses. Humans too. 💧
Just wanted to share my new personalized number plates with people who will appreciate them. I‘m trying to ignore the fact that the holes in the bumper were already crooked 😁
Came home after a 6 night cruise to the beautiful Whitsundays and plonked down in front of the heater with the book I didn‘t get to finish on the cruise 🚢
A good look at a long marriage but I could never get away from the feeling of great sadness for Ruth. She lost everything about herself, sacrificed everything, every hope, aspiration and dream and was seriously gaslit into being fulfilled and happy.
Bear is about sisterhood, finding one's own way, and a little bit of mysticism.
Makes you think. I enjoyed it 😊
5🩷 This Book! I absolutely LOVED the narrator for Marcellus! What a great story with good characters and of course, an octopus extraordinaire❤️ I took the physical copy out of the library also to jot a few things down. Was not aware that Octopuses had 3 hearts!!! Also had never heard of the wooden carved Swedish Dala horses!
#Washington(state of). I love when a book is so heart warming and teaches me things.
