1. Yes
2. Hell yes
3. Plenty of time, good snacks, and agree on pee breaks at the beginning.
4. Not today since this is weeks old.

rretzler 🤣 Basic D&D came out when I was in HS, and I asked for and received it for Christmas. I never could find anyone to play it with me. Fast forward 35 years - I got it for my younger son for Christmas a few years ago and husband, 2 sons and I played. However, we need a better DM - none of us are creative enough to be good!🤣 5mo
LibrarianRyan @rretzler hehehe. It was popular on the navy base. I can remember them playing in Guam, but it was in Alaska I was allowed to play. Nothing better to do when the only thing on the island was the base. 5mo

1. My parents have played my whole life and my first campaign was when I was 13 in 2nd Edition.
2. In a heartbeat. I can't play as regularly as I would like and it makes me so sad.
3. Read the manuals to understand the rules and find a good group that is willing to teach you how to properly play.
4. @MrBook @DivineDiana because I am very interested to see what you think.

bookandcat That is so cool that your family plays!!!! I wish mine did growing up lop 5mo

bookandcat @TsundokuAleax do you listen to The Adventure Zone or watch Critical Role at all? 5mo
TsundokuAleax @bookandcat I wish I did. I barely have time to listen to the two podcasts that I currently am into. I cannot imagine trying to jump into those right now. Maybe someday. Also, I am dying to play in 5th edition because everyone says it is brilliant after that one we don't talk about. 5mo
bookandcat @TsundokuAleax ooh what podcasts are you listening to? And 5e is a decent edition from what I can see! 5mo
MrBook 1. Nope, I never have. 2. I think so. 🤔😁 3. Complicated games make me go 🤯. 😆 I would have to ease into it. Thank you for the tag!!! ☺️🤗🤗🤗 5mo
DivineDiana 1. Unfortunately, I have not. 😞 2. Absolutely, have always been intrigued. 3. Be patient with yourself. Thank you for tagging me! 😀 (edited) 5mo
TsundokuAleax @MrBook Man, I hope you have some game shops that run campaigns so you can drop in and watch. They can be so much fun. But also I get the stress. We have had some complicated ones over the years. We actually have a game on hiatus because we almost broke the world but instead may have broke the game.😬😁 5mo
TsundokuAleax @DivineDiana thanks for replying. I am always interested to see what people think of D&D 5mo
TsundokuAleax @bookandcat Currently Pod Save America (a political one that I am super behind on) and Read Me Romance (a weekly romance where you get a full audio novella each week). 5mo

2. Yes
3. Leave yourself lots of time, and if there is not a good storyteller amoung your friends, get one of the campaign books.

Hi @Eggs thanks for the tag! #whatwouldyoudo
1. No , a group of friends started playing, but I felt they were too advanced too fast for me to join in.
3. One tip I have , if you are at a yard sale and see early D&D books ,some are quite valuable especially in good shape.
4.anyone who would like to play !

1. Yes! I love DnD, it‘s my favorite hobby besides reading. I even run a game for a my parents, brother, and aunt!
2. Lol, yes! I actually have a session scheduled for tomorrow night
3. If you‘re new to the game, I suggest just having fun! Don‘t worry too much about the rules, chances are someone with more experience will help out. Just let yourself relax and enjoy the game!

1. Yes, it was my first tabletop RPG. We moved on to Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay (now I've dated myself!) and played that for years. My husband and son still actively play ROGs including D&D.

2. Sure, i would play again

3. Play your character, and try not to be too any about getting into the role. Look for some solutions that aren't just fighting all the time.

1. Tried one brief online play by post session, but I have played Dungeon World and Masks (Powered by the Apocalypse games), listened to The Adventure Zone, and watched Critical Role. I actually just ordered the Stranger Things themed Starter Kit tonight to learn how to DM.
3. Have fun, and keep your character and yourself separate - don't metagame.
4. @TsundokuAleax @Schlinkles postal book club friends 🥰

Kayla.Adriena There's a Stranger Things D&D starter kit??! I'm getting one! 5mo
TsundokuAleax How did you know I would love this one?!?!?! 😘 5mo
bookandcat @TsundokuAleax I had a hunch and I'm so glad I was right!! I was super curious! 5mo
