#QuotsyJune19 Day 15: Not sure if the quote above is from tagged book, but the #juggle aspect of motherhood referenced here seems like it. I own a copy of this book and really hope to get to it.
My reading for the summer is ambitious as always. I plan to spend some time at the beach on a blanket enjoying some good prose. #womanism #summerplans
Its not technically a deal that I can see but this book is available for Qa.99 on kindle atm and I think it‘s a really good deal for such an amazing author.
There is also a book of some of her collected poems for Qb.99 available.

I swear amazon should pay me with how often I‘m pushing book deals on kindle
I would be dishonest if I didn‘t say I struggled with this book; I loved it. But I found the first part of it slow. So I put it down for MONTHS. Only coming back to it last week. I love the journey of Zélie - and the homage Tomi pays to Nigeria and west African Religion. This is definitely a book to be savored and one I‘ll come back to during the summer. #books #womanism #afrofuturism
Black History month - especially this year, makes me think of all the amazing Africans American Female writers who inspire me. One of those is Zora Neale Hurston. She was a fierce, no nonsense woman who did a lot of research on black folk lore and customs. Her novel Their Eyes Were Watching God is an amazing story of freedom of self. I really adore her. Plus this quote fits me to well lol. #blackhistorymonth #womanism
