As I have said, regency era romance novels are one of my guilty pleasures and this one was truly a pleasure. I have read several books by Jen Turano and all share the similarity of a strong, confident, and witty heroine. The resolution to the plot conflict was a bit of a stretch for me but the overall romance and clever writing was wonderful. 💜 #themrs #jenturano #womenwhoread #momswhoread
“Carnegie‘s Maid” by Marie Benedict 🌟🌟🌟🌟(4/5 stars) Poignant piece of historical fiction! This novel follows Clara, an immigrant from Ireland, as she gains employment in the Carnegie household during the mid 1860‘s. Clara brings awareness of the plights of immigrants and the marginalized. This piece of fiction is wonderfully written and developed. I found it timely and insightful as well as entertaining. #💜themrs
“The Unveiling” by @tamara_leigh_author is the first in a wonderfully lengthy series that I DEVOURED over the last month. Set on the backdrop of castles, knights, and some strong willed women, it is a great work of Christian fiction! #💜themrs #christianfiction #cleanromance #womenwhoread
This historical fiction novel follows 3 women (Rose, Hazel, and Sophia) all from different walks of life but who have come together to work in the French Resistance during World War II. Part I of the book was compelling and I connected well with the characters. However Part II felt a little shallow and not less striking. Thank you to @netgalley for the copy in exchange for an honest review #💜themrs #historicalfiction #womenwhoread #momswhoread
I'm #currentlyreading Star-Crossed (for real this time!) and if I finish, I'll read the sixth Lola Levine book. That's right, pubs start preparing for Halloween and Thanksgiving now. Soon we'll be seeing winter holiday books on our new books cart.
Anyway, I need to get my borrower count down (hopefully). Read these library books, take pictures, and return them!
I hope everyone is having a good day!
Hello all! Have you read either of these books? I just borrowed them from the library and both are on my ever-expanding #TBR.
#diversebookjun: Queer Non-Fiction.
#bbsjunechallenge: Underrated LGBTQIAP+ Book(s).

What's your current read?
Dreadnought is on my TBR. I'm still working through Star-Crossed. By that, I mean even though it's been listed as my current read all week, I actually haven't started it.
Instead, I read the first four Lola Levine books since I had started with the fifth. I also read about half of Giant Days, Volume 3. I need to return books to the library so I'm going with some guaranteed quick reads.
