In this Historical Christian fiction written by Hannah Linder it starts out with Ella wanting to know or needing to know what actually happened to her sister Lucy. What actually happened to cause her death? She believes Lucy‘s husband killed her. This is a beautiful story. Where faith in God perseveres. No bad language. No sexual content, just a loving romance. I loved the little tidbits of faith here and there throughout the story.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Any book that actually brings a tear to my eye is a good one. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it (some I‘ve had so long I don‘t even remember why!). Feel free to join in!

A woman is released from prison after eight long years and decides to start life over in a new town. The story unfolds with Christmas rapidly approaching. There are some plot holes, and well, some things that just don‘t make any sense here….eight years in prison for a first time offense of embezzlement? A woman spends all that time in prison yet doesn‘t seem hardened and shows no ill effects from it?
Been reading all day. Will Henry find Peter? Will Henry and Ella ever see their love for each other? Will Henry listen to Ella tell him the truth of why she came to Wyckhorn?

I didn't do a daily update, as I was dealing with a sinus infection most of this long weekend, but it did provide me with the perfect excuse to laze about and read, and thus helped me finish this #20in4 #readathon. I read for around 20 hours and finished this stack, plus started two others. Some of my favorite Christmas reads to help me feel better. 🎄 📚 💕

The first novel in a series by Nancy Mehl. This fast moving story has FBI agent Kaely Quinn trying to figure out the mind of a serial killer. Kaely has an unusual way of identifying and communicating with the suspect. The killer sends a poem to a reporter and it has messages hidden within for Kaely to puzzle out in order to find connected former cases she has a connection to. 4.26/5
(thru ch27) We'll be wrapping up Christy in December. I am really enjoying this one. I appreciate that the whole moonshining thing isn't as clear-cut as it appeared at first - Dr. MacNeil's points about the lack of income and unfairness of some of the laws suddenly turns what initially seemed to be a very good/bad/obvious situation into something more nuanced and involved. I'm also enjoying Christy's enthusiasm and desire to know more/do better. ⬇
