This was one of the best books I've ever read! The way Jandy Nelson writes is so amazing and beautiful, I'm in love with Noah and Judith and never wanted to leave them. If you haven't read it you need to! Just everything about it it's just so beautiful and gay and beautiful!

I am addicted to this book! More than halfway through and I don't want it to ever end. Was reading on the bus the other day and a guy sat next to me reading the same book and we just sort of stared at each other and showed which page we were at.

Bad Feminist | Roxane Gay
post image
Pickpick

Also finished a while back, as I said in earlier blur I really love Roxane Gay and I really loved Bad Feminist. Bad Feminist talks about the patriarchy, racism, body shaming, sex, rape culture and so much more and I think it was definitely interesting reading it out of her point of view, I may be a tiny bit in love with this book!

Will Grayson, Will Grayson | John Green, David Levithan

Pickpick

A while since I read this but forgot to post so here we go! It's a lot like any John Green (which means fantastic) but since it's also David Levithan it's therefore gay as hell, which is pretty much half the reason I read it. My straight best friend ™ threw this at me when we were in the library and said this book is good read it, and I hate to admit it but he was right.

Totally forgot to post about this, i've been reading so damn much lately. Seriously when Piggy and Simon died I was crying, I mean seriously fucking Jack! I realized that I constantly when reading this forgot how young the boys were and just imagined like 20 year olds and then you remember and you're like "Oh shit!"

Got this at the library for so long ago and it was due today so I read all 300 pages in one day and went to the library at 4:00 PM. It was such a relief to read something easy after only reading old english literature lately. It was one of those books I could really get into, in the way you start thinking like the main character after you've finished, there's seriously nothing better than just going into another world.

Only a hundred pages so something I could probably have finished in about an hour but somehow I managed to drag this book out in over a week, mostly because I didn't want it to end. This is the second book I read by Eric Blair (George Orwell), the first of course being 1984 and I find his way to write to be quite interesting. Animal Farm has a lot of similarities with 1984 but it's putting the revolution story in another light and perspective.

My phone got stolen like two weeks ago so I haven't been able to use Litsy in so long. I'm reading so many books at once right now but most importantly is Bad Feminist. I love Roxane Gay and the way she writes and the way she talks about today's society in her book Bad Feminist. One of the best non fictional books I've ever read! (Well reading I still got 50 pages to go)

I've been reading this book nonstop for three days, actually got a yelled at a lecture because the professor noticed I was reading, this book is just amazingly addictive. My brother read the book before me and he found the parts from the main characters fanfic super annoying but since I read Carry On before Fangirl I absolutely adored those parts so you should definitely read Carry On before reading Fangirl.

It is impossible not to love this book, it tells the story about a teen boy who tells you how he fucked everything up so you don't have to. "If the world around you doesn't fuck up, do it yourself"

This book is amazing and definitely one of my favorites of all time. It's a lot similar to Harry Potter and the characters Baz and Simon have a strong resemblance to Harry and Draco from Harry Potter but that doesn't matter. Because even if the concept is similar the book has so many own ideas and plot twists that the resemblance doesn't matter. As a big Harry Potter fan I absolutely love this book, it's like an amazing published fanfiction.

Mehso-so

The writer has a couple of good points and the book is funny I just found it hard to enjoy because of some of the more transphobic parts. I definitely don't believe that he wrote the book in a transphobic way on purpose but that it's more a lack of knowledge. If you can ignore the transphobic parts it's a genuinely funny very queer book and a book I think could actually be helpful for people.

Finished like a week ago but got so caught up in another book (The hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy) I forgot to post a review. It had been so long since I finished a book so fast (2 days) and it's so great. It's written in the form of letters which I thought would be annoying but it's actually a quite interesting way to tell the story and get another picture of the characters.

The story takes place in 1984 in a destopian future where the goverment, or “the Party”, controls eveything and everyone. The world has been devided into three ‘countries‘, Eastasia, Oceania and Eurasia who are all in a constant war. During the book we follow the life of maincharacter Winston Smith. He works on the Ministry of Truth and does his best to rebell against the Party without getting caught by the thought police.

God I love 1984...

The book is written fŕom the perspective of the people who died during the aids crisis, with them relating to the things characters when they sit by watching as ghost of the dead, unable to do anything. The book is pretty serious and depressing and is about queer people now and then and how things have changed over the years. There‘s eight main characters and four separate plotlines which makes the book stick out from the things you usually read.

He carried a silver-topped cane and I knew with out looking that his shoes were handmade. All he needed was a slightly ethnic younger boyfriend and I'd have had to call the cliche police. When he strolled over to talk to me I thought he might be looking for that slightly ethnic boyfriend after all.
