Thanks to Kindle unlimited, I discovered this series but holy crap did this one end abruptly! Didn‘t see that coming at all. Now I have to wait a month for the next one! 😭😭

Trying to get through book 2 of #24in48 with a toddler who wants to read too. So we compromised.

I can‘t believe I waited this long to read this. Finished at work yesterday and I loved it! Found it really fascinating the way Wells examined humanity‘s response to a mass crisis. Definitely one of my favorites I‘ve read this year.

Was there ever a more appropriate day for me to finish this book with whom I have such a love/hate relationship than April fools day? Please tell me I am not the only one left stunned by this book and its ending??

amber_ldsmom Oh, that ending! I believe the story goes that she had written a sadder/darker ending, but her publisher wanted her to change it. Thus, the ambiguous ending. 7y
BookwormBoo @amber_ldsmom I believe I shook my fist at the sky and said noooooo. Then I immediately took to the internet to see if there was any closure for me lol. But wow, that is fascinating. Even without the ambiguous ending I found the whole thing very dark (and deep). 7y

Pickpick

Finally got to this bad boy after years of wanting to read it. Definitely wish I'd read it sooner. This book made me look up a bunch of stuff and I swear I spent a whole day reading about the equator and looking at old maps because of one line from this book. 😅

A nice lighthearted read to kick off #24in48

I can never decide what to read next and so I always read the first few pages of a handful of books on my TBR to help me decide. Well, 53 pages in without pulling another book from my pile so I'm guessing it's Madame Bovary for the win.

CoffeeNBooks Madame Bovary is on my TBR list! 7y
TheBookKeepers Haha! I like ur technique! 7y
BookwormBoo @CoffeeNBooks I highly recommend! 7y

BookwormBoo @TheBookKeepers I am THE WORST at deciding so I have to make use of my insane technique 😆 7y
amber_ldsmom I love Madame Bovary! I named my daughter after her! Not because I admire her character, mind you, but because I love her romanticism. Much the dreamer, like me, lol. 7y
BookwormBoo @amber_ldsmom Wow I‘m sorry I just saw this! That is too adorable. I‘ve always wanted to name one of my kids something literary but I think the husband was against Galadriel for our daughter ;) 6y
