Just finished Prince of Thorns, at 14 hours of reading in #24in48 !
“Memories are dangerous things. You turn them over and over, until you know every touch and corner, but still you'll find an edge to cut you.“
Too true 🤔
Just finished book 3 for #24in48 !
Starting up Prince of Thorns next for the #24in48 !! The ending of The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer left me wanting more, but I'm leaving the sequel for another day ! Prince of Thorns is a bit shorter, and I've been excited about it for some time !
Also, here's a pop art of my 24in48 progress, just because 🎉
Page 346/452 !! Nothing like #24in48 to boost my reading speed
Great view into the set and the details of the movie and how the magic came together, though I should have left it for the end of #24in48 when I'm half asleep :')
I will definitely be needing this quote, as I'm nose-deep in trying to survive med school 😂 Nevertheless, WHAT a book. At one point it took priority over dinner. I'm not quite done yet, though. But what a book, I'm caught like fish in a net.
The #24in48 is over 😭😭😭 But this was my best 24in48 yet !! I broke last year's record, but I also READ FOR 24 HOURS
I read for hours straight last night and I collapsed after I reached my goal, but I DID IT OMG WOOHOOOO !!! Huzzaaah this is my first time reaching the 24 hour goal !!
After Death in the Clouds I reread Old School by Jeff Kinney so I can stay awake, then some 62 pages of The Last of August by Brittany Cavallaro
TOTAL PAGES: 1591 💓

My entry for the Hour 36 challenge of #24in48 : a book I've been holding on to since my childhood, and I can't think of any other book than this ! This is my old, battered, well-worn, reread-way-too-much copy of The Order of The Phoenix, as I read it for the first time in french when I was 11 or so. I do not even remember how many times I reread it, for years and years, at home and in school. I love it so so so much ♥ #24in48 @24in48
Just a little over 17 hours ! VERY proud of my progress this time
Pretty proud of today's progress ! Already finished This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab, that I started this morning 💜 #24in48
My entry for the #24in48 Hour 12 Challenge: a book that changed my views about a concept. This book deeply affected me, it was about the horrifying conditions people lived in during the 1800s in East London. The rich and privileged feast and party while the poor reach out to catch the crumbs that fall. Even the working ones don't get paid even close to enough. The same things happen today, and it makes our day-to-day problems seem silly.
I cannot be amazed at this book enough... It's the kind of book that needs a reread in order to fully comprehend the foreshadowing and the layers of the plot from the beginning ! Spectacular read
My bookmark, and the 100% progress bar for my first finished book, Fractures by Franck Thilliez ! Already feeling accomplished in the beginning of #24in48 ! I forgot to rate it befote I took the picture xD Anyway, YET AGAIN Franck Thilliez manages to weave an incredible complex plot that took my breath away and had me gasping as all his books do 😍
Kicking off #24in48 #readathon !! I HAVE WAITED MY WHOLE LIFE FOR THIS 😍😍😍
Currently rereading The Magicians because the first time I read it, it just wasn't the time for it because I didn't like it too much. Now I really missed the world and the characters and loving it on the second time ! ♥ in fact, the very first time I read it I DNF'ed it, then I read it again and finished it, now I'm rereading it and my opinion somehow flipped 180° 😂
My VERY unprofessional and flailing review to declare my undying love for this book 😍😍😍

The #24in48 is over ! Which is quite sad, but I'm proud of my time read !
Pages: 518
I'm closer than ever to finishing TFOTR 😍
*sigh* That is true for more than just the Ring and Middle-Earth.
Had to interrupt #24in48 to share this quote, I'm almost hitting 9 hours of reading; half of what I was able to read last summer's round, but it's winter and it's the time of studies, so I'm not TOO ashamed. I still wish I read more, though xD
Hour 36 of #24in48 ! Challenge: first and last book on your shelves ♥
My shelves are a storm, books are on top of each other, horizontally and vertically and it's a pain to classify 😂 I picked my favorite shelf, and these are the first and last ones ! Hope that doesn't break the rules *thumbs crossed*
5 stars for 'There's A Long, Long Trail A-Winding' by Russell Kirk ♥ Let me also take a moment to show off the new bookmark my sis made for me 😂
Ugh, I'm sleepy 😂 but if I sleep, the #24in48 will simply whoosh by D:
My mind was just blown by a short story in The Dark Descent; Russell Kirk's There's A Long, Long Trail A Winding. Highly recommend it !
#SHAME.
Well, all I can say in my defence is I had to sleep 😂 taking a break from The Dark Descent to continue The Fellowship of the Ring, that I am more than halfway through !
#24in48 #readathon
My current read for #24in48 after Simon Vs The Homo Sapiens ! Literally 1011 pages, but it's a collection of horror short stories, so I won't be bored !
Happy hour 30 😀 How's everyone doing?
Just finished Simon Vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda for #24in48 ! Almost hitting the 5-hour mark; which is frankly disappointing considering we're almost halfway there, but as long as I'm reading it's going great !
#24in48 Hour 12 Challenge for fabulous first lines ! ♥
Almost halfway through Simon Vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda !! Finally reading this for the #24in48 readathon ! Happy Hour 11 and happy reading, peeps :)
First challenge of the #24in48 ! A book I've held on to since childhood ! This was my favorite book for a long time when I was little. It's in french because I learned french before I learned english. I have so much love for this book, I can't even remember how many times I reread it ♥
Ready to start #24in48 with Simon Vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda ! 6 hours to go :D Got a few more books in case of a mood change !
My Conclusion on this book: Adorable, weird, neurodiverse characters, addictive to read and memorable ♥
Review: https://alibrarymonster.wordpress.com/2018/01/22/a-taxonomy-of-love-mini-review/
Currently reading an eARC of this ! It's a thriller... in verse ! Sounds exciting, doesn't it 😊 ? I'm actually thinking it's not so bad ! But I'm reading this super slow ! HOPEFULLY I'll finish it before its release date ! It's fast-paced, funny at some parts, but jumbling the sentence's components to prioritize rhyme over clear meaning... not a big fan of that !
It was a SUCH a satisfying read ! Action-packed, humurous and diverse. It was character-driven and the author completely nailed the character-development ! I was thrown off by the plot twist, which doesn't happen very often, so 5 stars for this one !

Currently reading Wonder Woman: Warbringer and loving it 💙
Almost at the half although I started it today, I love when I'm reading fast xD
The characters were fleshed out and memorable and the plot was suspenseful. The writing style from Watson‘s view was witty, at times relatable, and humourous. My only complaint about it would how long the chapters were. But as to the story itself, I quite enjoyed it, and intend on picking up the next book of the series.

#RELATABLE 😂😂😂
Currently really enjoying this book ! I'm a little bit over the half, so I'll be finishing it and posting a review on my blog and right here too !!
Really enjoyed this book ! The best part was the worldbuilding. It was fascinating, and portrayed the setting almost like a character. Loved the eerie dark parts. Would recommend this if you'd like to read a mystery thriller-like whodunit in a fantasy setting, with a gasp-worthy plot-twist ! Anyone have any ideas for more xD? Disclaimer; these do not belong to actual people at the moment, btw. I made them up for the books if they were real people :)
5 Stars ! Best things about this book; writing style, then worldbuilding, then characters 💙 Highly recommend it ! Can't wait for the sequel !!

This book was AMAZING !! It's so light and easy to get through. The writing style reminds me of C.S Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia, and Lemony Snicket's a Series of Unfortunate Events. The description of colors and the world building are fantastic ! I saved so many beautiful quotes that sounded more music than prose. I recommend this book if you like beautiful writing style and fairytales that have the logic of dreams.
Top 5 bookish plagues; Featuring the worst and most horrifying plagues you can only encounter in books.

2. The Shakes | Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
3. The Red Death | The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey
4. The Blood Fever | The Young Elites by Marie Lu

I started and finished this yesterday ! The ending BLEW me away ! Definitely going to pick up the sequel once I get my hands on a copy. I intend to post a review of this book on my blog soon !
I recommend this book if you like; Science fiction, discoveries that shake everything you knew about humanity, The 5th Wave, The Martian-like science details and explanations ( or if like me, you're a science nerd)
