Finally making time for another Kasie West book. That just make my ❤️ smile.

I'm impressed with my almost 11-year-old daughter's library choice. Her comment: "I think it's time I read this to see if I like it." You go girl.
I love that my daughter is now old enough to read books I'm also interested in reading. Gonna take advantage of her school library loan! 😁
I love that my daughter's reading interests are as varied as mine 😊 I decided to join her on the Percy Jackson series as well, but in audiobook.
The kid not only caught up with me, but she passed me up! Looks like I better get reading.
I thought these two books would be different enough I could listen and read at the same time. They are very different, except they are both a bit unusual so my brain is working overtime!
I finally pulled my daughter's Christmas book haul together. I'd say I was jealous, but there are several in there I want to read as well. 😁
Just one of the many books she got for Christmas. She's keeping me in stitches 😂🤣
Love my cereal. Love my milk. Family beware if we are out of either!
This book was on my TBR shelf for too long. I really wanted to read it, so I'm not sure what held me back. So glad I finally made the time to read it. Such a clever book.
Just finished the Brave New Girls anthology. This book would be a perfect gift for the teen girls in your life. It's full of sci-fi shorts with kick-ass girls who are good at STEM. And the bonus is that all proceeds are donated to a scholarship fund through the Society of Women Engineers! #recommendsay
I don't usually read 3 books at once, but these are different enough I'm able to pull it off (and one is an audiobook).
I'm trying really hard to not quit this. Not that it's bad, but it is so not my kind of book. Way too much detail about his wounds and carving up animals for his food. 😩 Just one of the challenges of trying to tackle books outside my box.
An audiobook makes raking not so bad. Add in the 70 degree weather and I might offer to rake the neighbor's yard too 😁
This one was just OK for me. I can see way many would enjoy, but for some reason I couldn't connect and wasn't surprised by the twists.
I'm not sure why I always wait until fall to bring out this cookbook. It has lots of great recipes that would be yummy all year long.
I finally got my daughter to start reading Harry Potter. I knew she would love them, but for some reason she was resisting. She'll watch just about any movie, so we watched the first two. She immediately asked to watch the 3rd but I told her we had to wait until I finished reading the book. A couple weeks later she brought this home from school - she figured she might as well read them since she had to wait for me to read them. 😊
I definitely enjoyed this book. There were a few things that kept me from loving it, but really glad I read it. So much fun.
It's book club week! Can't wait to share some food, drinks, and M&Ms with my gals on Friday! Oh, and of course I'm looking forward to discussing Eleanor & Park. Such a great book.

There were aspects of this book I loved, and others that kind of frustrated me. At least there were some parts that made me laugh out loud, so that was a nice bonus.
I'm looking forward to reading this series with my daughter. She's already almost through the first book (and loving it), so I have some catching up to do! And I'm trying to not be irritated that we have one paperback and one hardback....
Enjoying my latest indie read - Love, Lies, and Hocus Pocus by Lydia Sherrer. Lily and Sebastian are proving to be a fun duo.
My latest indieBRAG read - a continuation of Jane Austin's Pride & Prejudice.
"The most powerful moments of our lives happen when we string together the small flickers of light created by courage, compassion, and connection and see them shine in the darkness of our struggles." ?
Somehow, I never read this series as a kid. But now I get to enjoy them with my daughter. We are starting book 2 now (or book 1, depending on how you look at it).
I Loved both Me Before You and After You so much. I think I experienced every emotion possible.
"...how could I blame her for an inability to love the part of me that I, too, loathed?" ?
There is so much to love about this book, and so much to learn from the journey James/Jamie had to endure. You don't have to read The Kitchen House first, but you should because it was great!
