I couldn't exactly say what it is about this book that makes me love it so much. Maybe it's the combination of neat and cheesy but I reread it every October.

From reviews I was looking forward to a funny book but that's not exactly what I got. There is some good irreverent humor mixed in but it's mainly double entendres. They are frequent and get old quickly. If you are looking for a funny, kind of messed up twist on the fairy tale you are better off reading "Bring Me the Head of Prince Charming".
I really looked forward to the release of this book but have to say I was disappointed. The story wasn't as engaging or exciting as previous Wayfarer novels. While reading I kept waiting for the story hook. Instead it focused on the inner turmoil of the characters finding their way in life. It's still worth reading but it's my least favorite of the series so far.
At the outset of the book I was a bit turned off by the stereotypical portrayal of the main character. But as the book progressed Christopher gained depth and the story really dove into not just him but what life is like for his family. That's an aspect I don't often encounter in media portrayal of autism and was glad to see it acknowledged here.
This is one of my absolute favorites and I recommend it to anyone who likes historical fiction.
This book is a mixed bag. There are a few excellent stories in here from authors like Brandon Sanderson and Jim Butcher. There are also a few not worth reading. Pick and choose your short stories and don't feel bad about it.
