Started this with the kid tonight - she pouted when I stopped at the end of chapter one. Win for Mom!

Bring on the awesome women!
Oh how I despised Edgar and sometimes Fern and yet loved this story. Gorgeous writing and such selfish people.
Another totally happy read! Yay for little dinosaurs and girls kicking booty!
Flew through this in a day! Loved this alternate England. Really fun duology.
Can't wait for the kid to be in bed so I can start!
These footnotes are killing me! I'm totally sucked in to Mia's journey
Going for happy reading today. Just can't face anything too serious. Hope this does the job!
I'm in love and headed down a serious nonfiction rabbit hole with this. Must read all about the Fitzgeralds and of course reread Gatsby.
Perfect book to start at the pool! I'm in love already! Must get kid in bed so I can read more.
"A ballet of thorns and velvet petals..." I'm in love already with this book.
"My kingdom... Needs someone with fury in her heart and shadows in her smile." I'm hooked already!
Where are you Lila and what kind of trouble are you getting into? Lila Bard might be my new favorite. Loki's too
It took me WAY to long to line the cover images up with the title! Shameful. Quite a story. I didn't love it, but this was a really inventive way to imagine how this true story of a missing Supreme Court Justice could have gone
Love books set in my city! Excited to start!
Peaceful countries built on omelettes and white wine sounds lovely to me
Really interesting history of the manuscripts of Timbuktu and how they were almost lost once to time and then again to terrorism. I know nothing about Mali so this was a great introduction. Definitely bad-ass librarians!
"There is nothing like a Lab for company, and the black are better for conversation I find." Loki gives it the side eye but Grantchester has found the way to my heart.
"Books... Will save Timbuktu" - I hope so because this is starting to sound pretty bleak. Fascinating story of the manuscripts and scrolls so far!
Maybe it's because I was expecting an adult book and this was YA? The end was so much stronger than the beginning. I need more fairy origin in a fairy story and a deeper connection for love. Loved the inner beasts though.
Puppy and I are excited for Saturday night reading! Bring on the fairies!!
5 pages in and I'm laughing out loud at things like passing out mid-gyne exam and herds of kangaroos.
Made me laugh out loud and made me cry. Backman is fantastic. Not quite as perfect as A Man Called Ove but I loved the fairy tales.
I love this book even more for the Harry Potter love
"Reader, I murdered him." Reader, this was a surprisingly delightful book. Jane was awesome.
On hearing a slave ship go by. Powerful for a middle grade book!
Heavy thoughts for tidying!
Let's see if I can find some magic
These books just make me happy. Verity kicks ass and good lord I want the next book now!
All I want is my own colony of Aeslin mice. Is that too much to ask for?
