This was a good read and told an excellent story. The only thing is I didn't feel the love Nasrin and Sahar had for each other until the last chapter. For the most part it felt like they were friends going through the motion until the last chapter. Not sure if was because of Iranian culture or the lack of description

This was a good book. Solid foundation. What I really liked about this book was not always history and dates and there were background stories. Easy read. But can get a little dull #history #caribbeanhistory #jamaica #haiti

This book was amazing. At first I wasn't too sure how she was going to bring the two generations together but the way she did was lovely. I think what kept drawing me in was the skip from generation and the transition.
