Happy September everyone! I‘m very behind on my posts, but wanted to start my catch-up with my August stats. Not a stellar reading month in terms of numbers of books, but I enjoyed all my reads.

August wrap up!
Loved this #camplitsy read and got through a lot of #lgbtqia books!
10 books is a lot for me! The job search continues but I‘m spending my downtime reading and crocheting to relax and not stress out!
I usually manage to read at least one of them, so here are my September #Roll100 pics! I‘m not sure which The House Witch book I meant to have on my list because I didn‘t include author names and have been interested in reading both of these 🤭 coincidentally, I already started one of them! @PuddleJumper
Now I love my 90‘s hip hop but I really love reggae/dancehall. If you get in my car 99% of the time Bob Marleys Tuff Gong Radio will be on! I‘ve loved all things Bob since the early 90‘s and whenever my parents see something they buy it for me. At a tag sale my Dad found this book and bought it for me! What i didn‘t realize is this book was published in 1983 (Bob died in 81) and the author interviewed him and his family for the book!
How is it August already?!? Looking forward to this photo challenge! #charactercharm @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Premise: Interconnected stories about growing up in a first-generation Jamaican-Canadian family.
Review: This is a very strong collection, well-written, with a lot of heart. Toronto‘s Eglinton West neighbourhood really comes alive, as the main character and her mother are pushed toward and pulled away from it. ⬇️
