This book literally makes me laugh out loud sometimes! It covers pretty deep stuff but the way the author writes some dialogue between the friends Mina and Paula makes me laugh! They're the kind of friends I'd love to have around!

It's been 1 year since I joined Litsy and in that time I've read (from cover to cover) 43 wonderful, exciting, eye-opening, fantastic books! I didn't really have a goal for how many I wanted to read in a year but I'm very proud of how well I did! Here's to another year hopefully as full of great books as the first!
One of my three assigned summer reading books!
So far I've read 75 minutes out of my 3000 minute summer reading goal. ( the image shows a goal of 600 minutes but my personal one is 3000)
Alice (that's what I'll call her) is so young 🙁.
From the start, this book had enthralled me! Chimamanda is an amazing, intelligent, eloquent and poignant writer who I am now hopelessly devoted to. I will definitely be reading more of her works, and most likely loving them too!
Thank you mom for giving me a copy of "Call of the Wild/White Fang" when I was younger. I really do remember loving the book for the story, but also for the words. I loved the book because the words were beautiful, even the ones I couldn't grasp the meaning of yet. I still feel the beauty of words and I hope I always do.
Dang! Life has been crazy busy and I feel like I haven't been on litsy in so long! For my language arts class we are reading this classic and I'm torn between loving the book and hating the descriptions of the hunting. I also "accidentally" managed to have 12 library books checked out right now? I'm currently reading "Boys Without Names" and it's worth a read in my opinion! Glad to be back and hopefully I'll be posting more frequently than I have
First Second is probably my favorite graphic novel publisher tbh.
Apparently I read around 360wpm at the moderate level....nice!
Honestly a good introduction to past and present DC characters. I would recommend this to anyone who knows basic information on DC characters, but wants to explore the entire comics universe. I really enjoyed this story, and the way it was laid out. 10/10 stars!
This is an interesting writing style that I don't usually come across! A fiction book that reads like nonfiction, yet still manages to make the story feel alive. I like the book, and I can't wait to see what happens next!
I HAVE SO MANY FEELINGS ABOUT THIS BOOK! I'm so glad I bought the sequel because I want to read it very soon!
I really need to start The Merciless but I'm reading 3 books right now so I'm not sure. I think I'll try to finish at least one before I start another.
Happy 100th birthday to Roald Dahl! I loved reading these books and the memoirs when I was younger! I loved the movies as well! I once had an impressive collection of these books too! My favorite book was "The Witches" but I liked "The Twits" as well!
Well I'm a bit late but I just heard yesterday was Leo Tolstoy's birthday! Happy 188th!
And I give up on this book...I'm just going to quietly say I don't recommend it- I really don't want to rant right now so, here's me quitting the book with no further comment.
Sometimes I ask myself why I'm reading 4 books right now, and then I just go back to reading.
IT GOT HERE A DAY EARLY OH WOW OH WOW!!!
So for #biblioweekend I finished the last couple hundred or so pages this morning! I doubt I can get through A Game of Thrones so quickly😂 I also am super excited because my Welcome to Night Vale podcast books are coming this week (hopefully)!! I hope everyone else has had a good time reading during this 3-day weekend!
My Labor Day weekend goals:
1) read
2) read
3) read!
Let's get this #biblioweekend started!!📚📚
Ok I don't think I'll continue reading this book, around chapter 10 I realize it's a bit...weirder than I thought.
Wow this book reminds me so much of "Twin Peaks"', maybe not the plot but the type of writing gives it a "Twin Peaks"-ish feel! I read about this book online and it was recommended for Twin Peaks fans and, well, they were right! I am so happy I found this book-I'm going to read every book by this author if the rest are all this good!
Ok I didn't completely understand the plot of this book but oh well!

Reasons why I checked this out:
1) The bookmark
2)SHAKESPEARE
3)It's a graphic novel!
Ok, ok, so I'm not doing that great on my reading decathlon (I have read 2 books so far) but I'm just going to try my best, if anything, I at least managed to finish a couple of books I would have just postponed further.
I'm doing the @EpicReads reading decathlon!! 10 books in 10 days! Guess who's going to try to #readforgold 😀👍🏅 Wish me luck! #Readingforgold #readingdecathlon
I'm sorry but I really disliked reading this. I bailed on chapter 3. This love triangle is ridiculous and the plot is just meh. The first one was ok I guess but I'm not even going to finish this one. I had high hopes but was ultimately let down.
Apparently this book has its own board game for free! When I get the chance I think I'll go to a printer place and have it printed on cardstock or poster paper! Also, I've been looking at author blogs lately and apparently there's going to be a Lunar Chronicles graphic novel in January 2017?!! How exciting! It's already on my wish list😂🌙😍📚!
About 200 more pages to get through and then I can start Crown's game! I also entered a giveaway for an ARC of Replica! Wish me luck!
Another library pick I've heard about lately. I am wondering is it part of a series or no? Also, I'm staying in and watching as many reality tv cooking shows as I can before school begins!
Reading such a large book can seem quite daunting! I am enjoying this book now that I understand the way it is laid out! And the cover is just😍😍😍
I cleaned every floor in the house for this preorder- I expect my book to arrive DAY OF PUBLICATION!😂😂
Beautiful! Like reading a sunset! I've been absolutely captivated by this book!
"It was only one man who had gone, but it felt like forever, something so permanent and unstoppable that it blasted her. If she were a tree, she would drop all her leaves."
Wow. That is a really striking way to describe grief. My heart aches from reading that section and at how vulnerable the character is. I was not ready for all of these emotions I'm currently feeling.???
How can it take me years to get all of the books in an already published series and yet I have gotten 4 Michael Crichton books just this month?!!
Well I finally got a copy of this book! (😂 I really need to stop buying books so often) I found it for only around 4$!
I got some good second-hand books today! I got yet another Michael Crichton book to add to my collection, the Count of Monte Cristo that I've tried to read before, and the book Wicked!! Hooray!
Yep, even as an audiobook it's still one of the best books ever, in my opinion!!
So today is the last day before I go on vacation!! And, of course, I brought a couple books along! If anyone wants to recommend some good books to read on a road trip let me know! #readingontheroad
