Firsthand accounts of the Krakow Ghetto, this memoir/auto-biography of the ghetto illustrated in such a horrific way the crimes seen during WWII. He writes about those he meets and how they died, if they died. Must read for those looking for a different perspective from someone who lived through the entire life of the ghetto in Krakow, Poland.

Graphic novel memoir? Sign me up! I'm about halfway through and the artwork is excellent, the narrative is well told, and the discovered Vietnamese history is beautifully described. Slightly depressing, but brilliantly honest!

Almost finished this Sci-Fi classic and just astounded by its depth. It's more than just Hal, Dave, and space.

His name: Kafka.

Interesting storyline, fun characters, and an overall pleasant daytime read. Would recommend as a title for a first time manga reader.

Incredible work by first time author! It explores a relationship between two gay men in their lives living apart from society. The writing surpasses all of the gaps (which I just treated like an episode of Black Mirror), and it is a must read for all persons, gay or straight. Written well, interesting character dynamic, and incredible symbolism for what it means to be alive.

I'm not normally into really dark story lines, but the writing in here is just so vivid and refreshing that I refuse to put it down (until I write a review about it). But between hints to mythology and settings that accompany the adventure, I recommend Brom to anyone.

Doin' this a re-read and I'm liking it better the second time around. I'm catching more and the beauty in the story weaving is coming out.

As a kid, we would stop at the Tobie's in Hinckley, MN just an hour or so out of Duluth on our way up to Grandma's. It's almost just a town where now, I wouldn't stop unless it was an emergency, but learning that this city was just as large and prosperous (if not more) than Duluth during this time, this loss was truly dreadful. Written with brilliancy and accuracy, D. J. Brown (Boys in The Boat) does it again with this exciting read!

Before the Hunger Games, there was the Quillian Games. It's an amazing insight into politics of a future society not too far off from our own. This whole series comes as a recommend for children until this book; shit gets real.

Started this gem this weekend. So far, I'm very impressed with the writing, characters, and trajectory of the plot. Let's see how the last 200 pages goes!

I just recently finished the Olive Editions version (roughly 600 pages), and there was something in the reality of these characters that made me refuse to put it down. It's an American classic for a reason.
