Amazing first read of a Ishiguro novel. Artificial intelligence, loneliness and love are just three topics the author explores in an easy readable book that will make you think about it long after you ve finished it.

CindyE09 Definitely check out Never Let Me Go if you enjoyed this. Very similar tone of writing and also a wonderful novel. 3y

Girl, Woman, Other | Bernardine Evaristo

Pickpick

My best read yet this year. I loved this book that focuses on 11 women of color who almost all live in London. A very important voice in n British literature. Bernardine Evaristo starts her novel with a woman who directs a play in London. The afterparty of that play were some of the characters meet finishes a breathtaking novel that is written like a poem.

Leftcoastzen It was an exceptional read for me as well. 5y

Michael Connelly is a master in plotting. Los Angeles is his city. Many restaurants in which Bosch and Ballard eat. I want to try Musso's.

Such a Fun Age | KILEY. REID
Pickpick

This is a very intelligent first novel. Kiley Reid wrote this in a café in Arkansas and at the Iowa Writers' Workshop. It is about Emira, a 25 yo Afro-American woman who works part-time as a babysitter for the rich white Chamberlain family in Philadelphia. Emira will soon drop out of her parents' health insurance

A book that made me hungry. 12 short stories about a Jamaican-Canadian family in Toronto with a lot of humor and brilliant character depictions.
