Read with my son...such a good book with talking points for parents and kids.
Well...that was uplifting! Seriously...this a great book!
My favorite book...so many lost this year. http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-10788325
It was hard to decide what to rate this. I really liked it and finished it fairly quickly but...the graphic elements were hard to read (though needed for the story). The characters didn't hit home with me even though the writing was excellent.
So...today I received my PhD ;) Since I had to have "dress robes" for the ceremony my friend and fellow doc student brought her wand and we had a photo op. I love Harry Potter (we caused some excitement with the crowd).
Just started....I was sad that I was done with The Nix and needed another read. Friend suggested this one!
I thought this was a fun read but never got very attached to the characters. Plus...it is labeled (at my library) as science fiction but...I think that is a bit of a stretch. Fun read though when you just want to escape the madness 😳
"That, paradoxically, narrowing her concerns had made her more capable of love and generosity and empathy and, yes, even peace and justice. It was the difference between loving something out of duty—because the movement required it of you—and loving something you actually loved. Love—real, genuine, unasked-for love—made room for more of itself, it turned out. Love, when freely given, duplicates and multiplies". The Nix
LOVE ❤️ THIS BOOK!!!!!

Raw and gritty...good writing! On a recent podcast I wholeheartedly agree with this that the hosts said...books set in the circus you think may be happy and fun but no...some of the most intense and disturbing books written have been set around the circus.

Great read for the nerd in all of us who take pleasure in anything Randall Munroe does! Go nerds!

Well...it was a good read but not earth shattering...
Holy crap Batman! This book is a must read!
Did anyone else feel this book ended abruptly or wasn't long enough?
A fun read...and the audio book is perfect! The movie was good but I still enjoy the books better it seems (no matter the book and no matter the movie)!
This was good..not earth shattering but a good read nonetheless. I can't say it was so-so because it was good but I probably would enjoy it more watching the play. Fun though to read it at the same time as my 11 year old and discuss it along the way!
I am a huge Hamilton fan! Listen to the soundtrack daily! This book is worth the purchase for any fan of the show. I would suggest reading along with Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow...the catalyst for the Hamilton sensation.
Pretty good book...good mystery and kept me turning the pages. However, my main criticism is the repetition of the plot line across her books. The story is great but the present day/flashback is present in all her books...it seems.
Love! Love! Love this book! Not finished yet but had to add this as my first blurb!
