#TheSongRising is probably the most engaging installment in #TheBoneSeason so far but I dunno. I'm just not fangirling as much as I'd like to be. I read the first three books in quick succession, but I'm not sure if my interest will be sustained for another four books!

The narrator for the audiobook of Stalking Jack the Ripper was absolutely fantastic! She totally made the story for me. This is a strong start to the series and it's full of twists and turns.

Couldn't connect with the characters or world-building in this one, no matter how much I pushed myself. It's a lot like #HarryPotter, except everyone is painfully polite and hardly anything about the magical world is explained over the course of a year.

I was obsessed with the #HushHush series but the last time I tried to reread them, the magic was gone for me.

I've read very few contemporary YA books with an unflinching depiction of refugee situations, but #WhenMichaelMetMina was absolutely spectacular.
 
This is a book anyone can read, and it‘s a book that I feel all Australians SHOULD read. I would very much like to see this book become part of the high school curriculum one day.

Loooook, it wasn't perfect. It didn't rip my heart out the way ACOMAF did. But I still enjoyed it.

I absolutely loved Lady Helen and the Dark Days Pact. Alison Goodman is my new favourite historical fiction author!
