Book #41 of 2021

Read my first ARC and I absolutely could not put it down. It‘s a multifaceted story that is told at a good pace-slow enough to build the world and back story, but fast enough to keep the reader engaged and actively anticipating what will happen next. The cliffhanger ending has me super excited for the next book.

Book #40 of 2021

A unique story that draws you in and keeps you guessing all the way to the end. I loved that the protagonist is a strong and smart (yet flawed) young woman with an equally amazing friend. The mystery that unfolds is completely unexpected and was so refreshing.

Book #37 in 2021

A reimagined tale of “Sleeping Beauty” with some fun, unique twists. While the story was engaging sometimes it felt trite and used more “telling” rather than “showing” of emotions. I enjoy Melanie Dickerson‘s books for their ease to follow and escape reality for a while. Always a sweet happy ending in a world of harsh realities.

August Reading Recap! With the kids in school I‘ve had more time to read and it shows! Nearly 2,000 pages read. I devoured ACOTAR books 1-3 and look forward to more reading adventures in September.

Book #34

Excellent Book! After too much sex in the second book, I enjoyed the focus being shifted to alliances, growing powers, and the relationships in their world. Lots of fun twists and turns and satisfactory.
